We just booked a very last minute trip to WDW!!!! We leave in 3 weeks. This is not our first trip by any means, but it is our first with our baby- DD6m!!

Kind of freaking out about the packing list! I'm going to practice nursing her in my Ergo before we leave!

So... let's hear it! :)

There's nothing that I felt like "I wish I would have brought." The one thing that took up space and I totally didn't need was a light coat for the kiddos and pants. It was the first part of Sept. for goodness sake, I don't know what I was thinking:rotfl: I will say one of the best tips I got on here was to take a over the door shoe hanger. I hung it up and it kept all the lotion, make-up, hair brushes, tooth brushes, hair stuff, and extras and was really easy to access. It was great and I've used it a lot on all trips ever since.

MIL's aside, Definitely bring saline nasal spray and her nasal aspirator (the booger sucker.) DD developed a cold when we were there, and I had to have one delivered from an offsite pharmacy. I had 2 at home, so it felt so wasteful to have to purchase another. Don't forget the baby tylenol/motrin, and the mylicon, too. Hopefully you won't have to use them, but you never do know.

Also-- sunscreen since she's 6mo, you should be able to use a little sunscreen on her :)

Have fun!

I wish I left all the kids toys, coloring books, etc. that I thought I would need to keep them busy. They never used any of it. If we had free time we went swimming or they played with their new toys from the LEGO store.
What a waste of space!!!!!

I bought the large zip lock bags, and packed everything DD4 months needed for each day in a zip lock. When we arrived I was able to toss them in the drawers without worrying about how clean they were, and each day just grabbed a zip lock and we were ready to go! It made life easy and I reuse the zip locks on the way home to bring wet/leaky stuff! It worked great!

I second the over the door hanger! We also brought one and that was very convenient!

I also brought the change table part of our play pen, and we were able to use it on the disney play pen (I never liked changing diapers on the bed...).

Have fun! Be prepared to take it easy. I have to be honest, I loved the trip with a 4 month old, but I did feel like I missed out on a lot, I spent a lot of time touring the benches of WDW while DH was taking in things with DD4 years. :rotfl:

Pack: any medicines as WDW or local pharmacy is high. lots of clothes (thank goodness those baby clothes are tiny) light weight blanket to cover head/face while napping, diaper cream (just in case), Love the over door shoe organizer for in your room..keeps all tidy. stain stick or stain treatment for the occasional spit up etc. zip lock bags... you can use for everything.

Dont Pack: toys unless it's something your baby is particulary attached to!

When I used to travel w/my kids I always took a small baby first aid kit which had tylenol, mylicon, Nasal Bulb, orajel, etc. I still travel with tylenol, sudafed and cough medicine and my youngest is 6. Every time I don't (or I run out) one of them gets sick. If I have it with me they don't.

I also always took a sheet from their own crib to put in the pack n play. The one time I didn't the little one wouldn't sleep - there's something about familiar smells/textures which helps them sleep.

Even though you're nursing take a sippy cup. I used to express into that since the boys would always expose me to the world as they were just too curious about the new places to tolerate being covered. Also that way if it's hot you can give her sips of water/juice while you eat to help keep her hydrated.

I used that ultimate packing list I got on here and it really helped. I would be happy to post a link to it if you don't have it yet.

The thing I forgot to bring the first time was my BRAS thats right, I am a big busted girl who cannot go el natural. The next time I forgot my UNDERWEAR and did remember my bras. THe third time I forgot the motion sickness meds for me and My bathing suit. I have always packed family good just me I seem to forgot.

THis time I am packing my stuff first! It would not be fun to be braless bottomless and nausua at the same time, not a kodak moment either!

I would bring a blanket and sheet for the packnplay as disney don't provide bedding for them. It is usually just a full bed size blanket they give you if you need one

I wish I wouldn't have left the diaper bag in the car at the airport...in Philadelphia! :rotfl2:

I would love to see that list. We leave next week and i am kind of freaking out :)

Hi I want to let you all know that it is much cheaper to get those glow sticks at Michael's than on Oriental Trading. I almosted put in my order at Oriental when I found those $1 tubes at Michael's. It comes in 15 pieces per tube in a sturdy tube, with connectors. So 1 makes a bracelet, 3 actually makes a necklace. It is SO MUCH cheapier than the prices on Oriental (which already cheap) of $25 for 50 pieces.

Just thought I'd share this info if you don't already know!!

i havent been to disney yet but this is what i bring on other vacations: i bring my hard medicine case and put almost every medicine that i could possibly need if anything were to happen - it all fits in one case and you can get loads of items in it. This includes a spare bottle of antibiotics which i have incase i were to need it.
Better to have it all on hand instead of making any emergency trips to the drug store.
I also bring my own comforter & two pillows (i cant sleep unless i have these things) and a little portable fan which is good to put bedside to block out any noise you may get from the outside staying in a hotel or condo. I never hear a thing and always able to sleep.
Of course i also bought the little ipod fans that go around the neck which we would definitely need in the parks, also thinking of buying the misting mates also. Rain ponchos,

Bringing extra table toppers for DS. He wasn't eating tons of solid foods last time, but it was nice to be able to sit down and not worry that he was touching a sticky table. We brought some toys and books with and we hardly used them so that was a waste of space. We used our suncover for the stroller all the time as well as our high chair cover. We always bring a crib sheet so DS is already used to the scent and the detergent.

I love the ziplock bag idea for each day. That would make overpacking hard to do. Hmmm... maybe DH is going to see ziplock bags in his future. Before our honeymoon trip someone took some things out of a bag I packed for our trip. One of the items was my bathingsuit bottoms. I had to call my parents and have them FedEx the bottoms because I wasn't going to spend $100 on a new suit. They added a note to my DH that said "nice try". :rotfl:
