I stayed at POP this past march and while it didn't blow me away, I was very satisfied with my experience. The food court had a good selection, the store had a lot of great stuff in it, and all of the CM's were great to us.
I also love the decor, we took a walk through the resort and they had little plaques for each decade with fun facts, and by the lake we found my favorite things ever, the giant Mr. and Mrs. Potato Heads. I couldn't resist some pictures!

We LOVE Pop Century. We have stayed there three times and I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. (Must be the kid in me)

The only thing that really bothered me was that I heard EVERYTHING! I actually heard a guy coughing in the next room. The size didn't bother me, bus transportation was good, and the food court had good food. It was just the thin walls. And that's why I stay "deluxe" now.

I thought the resort itself was fine. We had a good stay there, the rooms were comfortable and the staff was great!!

However, even an hour after park closing (and an hour after evening EMH) the lines for the buses were still insane!!! It is VERY obvious at that point the sheer number of rooms in the resort.

Every other aspect of the resort was great!! Even buses in the very early morning or very late morning going to the parks were fine. (We know better than to be at the bus stop from 30 minutes before park opening to 1 hour after park opening.)

We have stayed at All-Stars many times and have learned that by waiting about an hour after park closing, we can practically walk onto a bus and have an easy ride back. I would say more than 2 hours after park closing should be the rule for POP.

Hi
We really like PC. We don't spend a lot of time there, so it's perfect for us. My DGD (4) loved the Goofy Jets, and the food that we had at the food court was pretty good. It's a fun place. This past August, we were in bldg 10 with connecting rooms and it was close to the food court and busses. I think the main thing I don't like about Pop is that there were a couple times that the wait was really long for the busses and there is no shade to wait in. Of course, it was August and was really crowded, but for the price of Pop, the price was right. My DH and I are trying CSR for the first time in 19 days!!:woohoo:

Everyone seems to love it but I cant get my kids to even think about going there??? Go figure.

My POP experiences have been very positive. Excellent mousekeeping .. she even spoke french with us!

The food court choices seem limited after a few days of staying there, but the same is true of any of the values.

I enjoyed the pools.

Unlike other posters I didn't find the walls 'paper thin' but I was staying in weather where the A/C was on 24x7 so that white noise probably blocked out quite a lot.

Our bus service was excellent.. no problems with that whatsoever. We stayed Feb 26 to March 03 and May 30 to June 03 of different years.

we stayed at Pop on our first trip in 2005 and we really enjoyed it, but really like trying new things, but I am ready to go back to Pop again, especially if they would add some Family Suites.

I am almost afraid to say it but, we were not Pop fans. :scared:

The resort is huge. Which of course means more people.

We were pleased with the food selection in the Food Court, the place was just packed all the time. Not a table to be found. Even our kids asked to go back to the room to eat most days. Half of the beverage stations were not working.

The rooms were clean and average.

The bus service was okay to the parks, going home was a nightmare. The Value's do all tend to be busy though at park closing.

We were much happier with our stays at Movies. Pop was not a total letdown but, just not a favorite.

We were there during Free Dining last September (2006) so that probably had a lot to do with the issues we had. Crazy food court and buses, etc.

I hope you have a great vacation!!

This time frame is a recurring theme among the complaints. I can only imagine how bad it was during that free dining period at Pop. :headache:

We were skeptical about staying at Pop. I usually don't like budget motels when we travel. Pop was awesome. The rooms were smaller than I'm used to but it was just myself, my hubby and our 2 year old.

Everything else at the resort was super. The food court reminded me of POFQ. Same stuff. However, my husband loved the slushies at the food court.

We will definately go back again.

My dd and I love POP...dh not so much. But that's okay, we go on many trips to WDW without him...so can stay at POP then.
I've stayed at all levels of resorts at WDW, even own DVC at BWV. If I'm not staying DVC on my points, I'm usually at POP. I love the moderates but they just don't give me all that much more for the extra money I spend to stay at them.
I'm heading down to WDW in Jan..taking my older dd (31) to WDW for her first ever trip. We are starting it off with two nights at POP before heading to BWV. I love the whole bright and busy atmosphere there. Yes, the food court can get crazed..but I tend to eat at off hours. You won't find me eating breakfast at the food court at 8:00 am, or dinner there at 6:30...just way too many people. Yes, it gets crowded waiting for the buses. But, I either leave the park just before it closes for the night, or hang back and kill some time before heading to the buses. I don't mind hanging out at the emptying park for an extra hour or so, just taking in the sights and sounds, while others rush to the bus line, only to stand there and wait.
I had some of the best bus service at POP. Never had to wait more than 20 mins for a bus, with the exception of the DTD bus. But, that bus is horrendous no matter what resort you're at.
Mousekeeping was fine. I did have one time that we had to wait until past 3:00 every day for our room to be cleaned and it was an issue because it was August and we liked to return to our room at lunchtime and relax a bit and have a swim. But, for the most part, we had no other issues with mousekeeping. The noise level within the room was fine. I've had noisier stays at the deluxes.
All in all..we do love it there. Can't wait to get back in Jan.
