I don't think it's too much to expect that the three judges would know who America's pick was so, that they don't waste a pick on him/her. Besides, Clay was so obviously better than rest of the wilds, how could anyone doubt he would have been the favorite.

The whole stall thing was lame. It was an insult to the audience.

Clay is my favorite. I just read his interview on the fox website. He works for the MR/DD & works with an autistic 13 yr old boy. His voice is amazing, his look is unique & fresh AND his choice in working with MR/DD people tells me his heart must be kind!

He also mentions his mother in the interview.

The way they did it also insured that he was the last performer. I felt so bad for him suffering through that long hour - he looked SO nervous and miserable. As we watched, I told my DH if he didn't make it, I was not going to watch the show. I hope he wins the whole thing!

I also suspect each of the judges knew what the others were picking, they probably decided on the 3 together. All that silly acting about America's choice and each other's choice WAS an insult. That should have been a 30 min. show.
I'm for Clay and the Marine guy. I would love for the view of an "Idol" to be more than just skin deep. If Kimberly wins, I will never watch an AI series again!

I also agree that the judges knew ahead of time that Clay was America's choice. I also think they knew who each other choices were. It was so phoney at the end when they were waiting to hear who Simon picked, you could tell they all knew. I think they should stick to judging and not acting.

Clay gave me goose-bumps last night - he was awesome!!!! Now I'm torn - he will give Josh (the Marine) from my town a run for his money. The others are okay but I do favor these two right now!

I thought that Clay might pass out last night from nervousness a couple of times. Poor guy!

I believe that Simon compared Carmen to Kelly. He also admitted to having a couple of beers the night before while he was watching the tape trying to decide who to pick. Aliceyn was definately better but then maybe Simon sees something we don't.

I agree with Paula's choice but was surprised about Randy's. But then I do recall that he seemed to like her too even though he wasn't too big on her song choices.

All I know is ,

We went out to dinner last night to celebrate my twins 15th birthday. Hurried my husband home so I could at leat catch the last 15 minutes.

I turned the tv on only to see Clay still sitting on the couch. I was beside myself. Then I figured ok, one more judge has to go. Then Simon picked Carmen??????????????

Oh My GOD!! I was thinking what is going on here. He can't be left behind. They all said how his was the best performance so far and not one judge picked him.

That poor guy, how they made him wait.

I figured he had won the popular vote and the judges were left to pick the other fillers.

My picks are Clay and Joshua for the final 2. I don't think the women have it this time. My initial favorite was Kim C. but I don't like her attitude and camera hogging.

I won't watch again if Kimberly or Julia wins. Can't stand either of them.

I really hope it's a guy this time, they are way better.

About Clay's family - his mother and brother were there last time. It made sense to me to have friends this time. They'll probably all take turns having different people - I doubt too many of them have family that can take as much time away as this series will take!

My choices are Clay and Josh (the Marine) - but of course, I'm partial to Marines.

I think that Kimberly puts on a great show, but she's too fake for me. Seems she just tries too hard to be "everybody's friend".

I am rooting for Clay and the Marine, Josh! These 2 are the MOST talented as far as I am concerned. Trience(or however the hell you spell it) reminds me of a "Diana Ross Wanna Be." I don't think she will be around too long! Also, cannot STAND that Juilia De matto! Acckk! Her and Kimberly need to DUKE it out already, we all know they hate each other! I believe his name was Rick Ashley--he was the BOMB! I LOVED him, and his song is played over the Musac at Publix a lot!

I think Clay is so much more talented than the other contestants, they should give him a recording contract now. His voice gives me chills and I'd buy his CD in a heartbeat!

It's so great to hear a guy who is not a boy band/Michael Jackson sound alike. He has real depth and feeling to his voice

I know I will be voting for Clay as much as possible.

I think Clay should win American Idol. He is by far the best, and should have gone thru originally to the finals. I like Josh the marine also. I believe they should be the final 2. I don't think any of the women have enough talent this year, and almost all of them have too much of an attitude. Clay and Josh seem like nice 'normal' people.

Also, I don't think they should have made Clay wait til the end. He was who America chose, and they should have made the others sweat it out. Although most of us knew Simon would not have chosen that girl, had Clay not been America's choice, but Clay didn't know that, and it was not fair to him.

I think choosing Carmen was a set-up: someone to cut easily during the first week or two so the more talented people will last longer on the show (ratings).

Although she wasn't horrible, and her voice is unique, I thought she was singing flat and was pretty dull from a showmanship standpoint.

If they felt that they "had" to let someone go on who they had dragged back that wasn't in the top 32 - I would have much preferred Allison (wrong spelling - I know - sorry).

Although she seems like a nice person, I don't think that Carmen has a very good voice! Maybe she'll surprise us, and sing really well next time!

In the beginning, my favorite contestant, by far, was Frenchie. But since she was booted off for reasons I think are silly, it has been a toss-up between Ruben and Clay. But the more I hear Clay, especially since the Wild Card show, I am definitely starting to lean toward Clay. He is just so talented, it's that simple. As my dad says, "Even Elton John would have been proud of that rendition of his song!" And I also think that the simple fact that he doesn't "look" like the American Idol is exactly why he should be the next American Idol, right below his talent, of course (not to mention he's not so bad-looking ).
