I have built a wonderful list of "needed" things. I wonder if anyone has taken "stuff" that it turned out you didn't need. We're driving, so space isn't a real issue--just trying to streamline a bit!

Bug spray never used it.

sunscreen and shorts :lmao:
We were there during the record cold in December!! Who would have ever thought!! Due to the cold weather we drank much less water....so the case of delivered water....was hardly touched and left behind~

With having the DP I packed way too many snacks. I brought breakfast things for the boys, but way too much. I acted like we were going away for a month!

Our double stroller!

Our younger kids were 18 mths & 2.5 at the time so it seemed like a no-brainer to bring it. We stayed offsite at a rental home and toting it around in the parking lot and ferry and everything was such a hassel. Turns out the house rental had two umbrella strollers in the closet, so after the first day, we borrowed those and it was so much easier! We also rented a double stroller at AK and it was convenient to leave it behind when we left.

Half my clothes!

We stayed in a villa at the boardwalk, so we had a washer/dryer. We washed and rework several outfits. We could have taken half the clothes and had room for twice as many souvenirs!

My laptop. We flew and could definitely have used that extra space that my laptop and its cords took up. Never took it out the whole trip.

A small jacket. We went during the end of August and the temperature never dipped down to the point of needing jackets.

I ALWAYS overpack... so for me I take out all the 'extra' clothes that I think well, what if I want to.... I never do. So home they stay.

One thing that I bring on every trip and then never use is the poncho... if it rains in the afternoon, invariably the poncho is in the room and if it is raining in the morning, I have this belief that if I don't take it out the sky will turn blue within minutes....

Things for the kids to do in the room. Anything packed in the airplane carryon is fine for the room to play with as they are as tired as night as we are and do not need the toys.

That's my plan! We are going for 8 nights and plan on bringing 5 days worth of clothes and washing on the 5th day. Might even end up bringing home clean clothes! That would be nice!

Bug spray.

Too many clothes. I'm such a compulsive over-packer -- as another poster said, I always think, "What if I need . . ." I always do laundry mid-trip, so I don't know why I think I have to pack so much.

Ordered too much breakfast and snack food from Garden Grocer
Books
Toys
Laundry detergent (I always pack enough clothes)
