What did you SWEAR you would never do, but did?? (before, during, after)

After the first trip with my children going, I said I would nver go without one of them again ( that is until they moved out.) This year I have to leave my youngest so she can go to summer school. She is ok with it but it has been killing me. :guilty: :sad2: :sad2:

I will never do all of the above. :rotfl:
And I think I have done atleast most of it.

THOSE EXPENSIVE PHOTOS! I promised myself I wouldn't blow money on those pictures from PhotoPass or from the end of the rides...

but they were soooooo cute and I didn't have any like them...so a car payment later...:) I'm a sucker - I know...

Join DVC. We looked at it per DH's request back in 2002 and I was satisfied with our Interval International timeshare - after all, we were spending our vacations in 2 and 3 bedroom condos right outside WDW...why spend more money to stay on property? Is it really that big of a deal?

And then...in May 2004 we got Old Key West through Interval. And wow...oh wow. Suddenly I was saying to DH...why don't you just call and see how much...Four hours later, we handed over the check card for the down payment and signed the contracts. Since then we've been on DVC vacations twice with #3 planned in November. And the idea of staying off site next May makes the add on bug bite even harder.

I'm still clinging to the "never go in the summer" plan. But DS will be in school in a few years...

Yikes.

Our trip to WDW for the first time in 1989 was going to be the "once in a lifetime" trip with the kids (DD 8, DS 11). Well, we ended up going back every other year, then every year, then twice a year (bought DVC in '95), etc. Now it's just my DW and me most of the time, but we still love it!!

Go to WDW during Spring Break time. As we live only about an hour away and can make day trips just about any time, its a no-brainer to avoid the busiest times.

Well, this year I took a few days off from work in March, and told DS, who is 3, that on one of the days he could pick out something special he wanted to do. I thought he'd want to go to Chuck E Cheese, or maybe the zoo or the aquarium, but he chose to go to WDW! We spent the day at MK in the middle of the biggest crowds I have ever experienced. I can definately say it something I will never do AGAIN.
