70's... birthday in early Nov.
Most of my childhood birthdays were the same. Totally unscripted. I dont remember presents.
My class would come over (small private school.... so about 10 kids) .... we would play and fool aroundin the yard..... eat cake and some sort of lunch... and then my Dad would take us all on a nature walk to the river and through the woods.
My kids: always tried to do something different each time.... home parties.... pool parties... bowling parties... costume parties.... had a science party (Mad Science)... had a magician (Ed the Magician)... sleepovers... henna...
