What did you have for dinner last night?

Ahoy matey .... present and accounted for. Cagirlie make sure to send me a postcard from your cruise.

I recently set sail myself with a really raucous bunch of salty and not so old and old pirates. For last nights grub we had something mushy that appeared to be meat but I cannot be certain mate. The sea biscuits were almost kind of tasty if it had not been for the weevils in them, but then those little guys do provide much needed protein for those of us that have a very long itinerary ahead of us that will include but not be limited to; plundering, pillaging, "finding" treasure, cavorting, drinking, carrying on, setting enemy ships and ports a blaze, making new alliances, and escaping the hangman's noose, etc.
Fortunately we had plenty of rum to drink, because Capt. Jack has been delayed in honoring us with his presence, which these days is very easy to detect by his lack of hygiene, god forbid we be down wind from him again, he really needs to take a bath and soon. Anyway... I need to find some soap. Wish me luck.....

I made oven baked chicken breasts seasoned with garlic, capers and a mix of seasonings from France (I think it's called Provence or Provincial but it was given to me by DBF Mom so I don't know for sure), I sauteed some zucchini, squash and green beans in capers and garlic and made some rice a roni on the side, it was good!

We had pollo assado with caramelized onions with avocado, cilantro, and green onions. Tonight we are having grilled cheese with ham, bbq sauce, and cole slaw on them. I don't know what to have on the side though!!

I don't know if you need anything on the side......that sounds like a full meal right there! lol

I had DD put some chicken in the crock pot with BBQ sauce on it. Not sure exactly what I'm going to do with it but it will be yummy!

Maybe shred it and make tacos? And you can make OK or buy Spanish rice to go with it, and also refried beans, I like the Rosarita Brand for they are tasty.

I'll probably do sandwiches, but tacos or wraps might be really good too. It's hard because my girls don't like tortillas that much.

Maybe over time your daughters will love tortillas.
If you have not had them yet with that tasty white Mexican cheese, try it. That is such a tasty combination. I just heat the tortillas up on the stove then add slices of that cheese after and they make my taste buds happy.

For the reason of much rum yesterday I cannot seem to recall right off well actually if at all for that matter what I might have dined upon said evening. I'm thinking it was rum that I had for dinner too. Excuse me now as I am a bit wobbly still, and must sit down before I fall down.

Last night we had pizza, half with pepperoni, mushrooms and olives, half with chicken, bacon, artichoke hearts, mushrooms and roasted garlic. YUM
