What did you have for dinner last night?

Carrot risotto. I was inspired by the recent episode of Master Chef:) Actually pretty good! And healthy, gotta love that!

If your family grew up in Red Bluff it is entirely possible. It always seemed like everyone knew everyone to me.:rotfl: I agree about Cottonwood, I had a friend that used to call it Cottonpatch. The name stuck with me. That whole area up there is beautiful, hot but beautiful. We haven't been up that was for about 6 or 7 years. DH and I decided that next summers vacation is going top be either in McCloud or Burney.

It's highly likely, my grandparents moved to Red Bluff from Westwood in the early 50s. Most of us have moved away since they died, but I do still have a couple of cousins there.

Tonight for dinner I'm having margaritas and spinach and artichoke dip with chips. Healthy, I know, but YUM!

I bet they knew them. My uncles were in high school in the 50's.

My parents lived in Westwood in the late 50's early 60's. Dad was in construction and moved where the work was...

We had Bacon wrapped Sirloin Steak on the grill, Grillin' beans and a green salad... nice summer evening on the patio...

Oh my, last night was lovely. The margaritas were of course, yummy, but the salsa was to die for. We had a regular tomato salsa with tortilla chips, yum. But the best was the baked cinnamon tortilla chips with fruit salsa. Oh. My. Apples, kiwi and strawberries with apple jelly as a medium. So delicious, tasted almost like an apple tart on the chips.

HEY MATT, welcome back, good to see you posting again.

So what did you have for dinner then? Hopefully something very tasty.

~~ I love you Phil and you will forever be with me! Forever my very best and most special friend! I love you to no end. ~~

While on the subject...

I had wonderful fish and chips with calamari at my favorite place in Bodega Bay at The Boat House today. I highly recommend this place, it has a very tasty menu and out door seating.

Welcome back Skiingfast, where've you been? Were you banned? - too much variety in your cooking??? If you'd just go thru a drive thru once in a while..... How'd I miss that one??? :lmao:

Those cinnamon chips with fruit salsa........ohhhhhhh:love:

Since it's Father's day,
filet mignon in a mushroom cream chardonnay sauce with hearts of palm and red peppers. A weird recipe that seems like it just won't work but it was waaaaay too good.
Turtle pie with whipped cream

Last night was sloppy joes and veggies! Is it weird for that to be one of my favorite foods at 37?

Tonight, even though it's warm outside...
I made the Carnation Potato soup.... OH so Yummy!!
Thank Goodness, they did not remove it from the menu....:woohoo:
