Life is short, experience all that you can. With game meat, the redder the better. It's all very lean so it needs to be tender. Elk tastes pretty good compared to deer, mooose or antelope, a milder flavor.
I tend to eat game meat because, it's healthier, it's natural and far more envirmonmental friendly than what you can find in a grocery store. Also there is a surplus of game animals around me due to man killing off the predators.
Of course last night I made spaghetti with a beef marinara.
Try the Elk, you might really enjoy it! We have a place here that serves Ostrich burgers, and another place that serves Buffalo. My Dad hunts, kills and eats deer and elk, I've had both and while both were gamey they were good. I would eat them again.
I ordered pizza last night, had to work my second job and work on my taxes...... I ordered Papa John's, the kids' half had olives and pepperoni with extra cheese, the adult half had chicken, artichoke hearts, roasted garlic and extra cheese, I also ordered their 6 cheese breadsticks, which are my favorites now.
We had pizza for a dine and donate for a person I know who has cancer. We got the pesto chicken pizza, it's good, I'm having leftovers for lunch right now.
Ok, sold - I'll try the elk and I do believe they will have venison too. I loved the Little House on the Prairie books, so I'll feel so in touch with Laura by eating venison. I've always wanted to try it and those vanity cakes that ma made.
Fried rice with diced pork chops and baby corn with peas, and eggrolls.
