Was lazy and had Jimmy Johns deliver tonight, it was quick and delicious.

This evening, cream cheese jalapeño poppers, then a tuna sand which, b b q chips with a cherry/vanilla coke. Yeah, I know some of you are probably thinking ewe and gross, but it works for me.

I grilled dinner tonight. I grilled marinaded chicken, carrots and asparagus. And we added pasta to it. I love grilling in the summer, I will miss it once winter starts.

No, I have not tried it that way. But I might, besides, I eat the chips along with the sandwich, so why not skip the middle man? he he.... Yes, I just might try that next time......

I race, but since I live in the lovely state of Arizona it's the off season so it's just for pleasure right now. I have a mountain bike but I mainly stick to my road bike and fixed gear.

My husband ride for pleasure and races. He ride cyclo-cross, road, mountain bike and time trials. So he pretty much races all year. We live in the San Francisco bay area so for the most part the weather is good for riding and never as hot it is in Arizona.

Ah once again I visited The Boat House yesterday for a late lunch/dinner. My usual.... half order of calamari and half order of fish with chips... yummy!
It was actually an interesting day for me, for to begin with, I hit all green lights from N.McDowell Blvd. up to East Washington, all the way through and up to Bodega Avenue, now mind you this is on a Sunday afternoon, close to 4:30 in the p.m. that is just so unheard of. I could not believe it. Then after I dined upon my tasty seafood fare, I drove to Carmet Beach. Just minutes later, as I was sitting in my car, I see water spritzing up from the ocean. And I thought, wow, that must be a whale. I had not seen any in this area before, and I visit Bodega Bay often. Anyway, it was exciting and so very awesome because this would be the first time that I FINALLY have an extremely rare opportunity to see a whale in person. So I quickly walk over to near the edge of the small patch of ground that is above the beach. And I look and look and look, what with the sun coming in at such an angle, that even though I was wearing my sunglasses, still I needed to put my hand up and above my eyes. It looked like I was saluting the ocean. Then switch hands.... every so many minutes I would see more of this spray, which of course was coming from the whales blow hole. I was hoping to see the whale, but at that point, just her spritzing (That is what I call it) is what I could see. Then as she made her way further out and over into the ocean, I could finally see her. Again, it was just so exciting, fun and awesome to see her. I would always look for that spray, because then I knew that I would have a chance to see her again. I would watch her, then it turned out there was another whale near by, so now, I am tracking or trying to anyway, not one but two whales. Then I saw her tail fin, as she came to the surface then back down again. And I could see her back as well. I was out there for over two hours observing her, and the other whale. I believe that there might have been three whales actually. Because earlier, this being after spotting my first whale, I could see this spraying, on the left hand side of the water, and a bit further away. I knew it was not the first whale, because I was still seeing her at this point in the middle of the ocean. Anyway, it was just so cool! I feel extremely fortunate for having witnessed these really great whales. I believe that they were very young, because they were not huge, like you see on marine mammal documentaries. These were smaller by far, in length and size. I wish that I had had binoculars and the right camera with me. Other people came out over time, with really nice cameras, and attempted to "capture" them, but it is not easy,not even with the right equipment. For the whales time at surface is so fleeting, like happiness and good manners.
I hope that I will be able to see whales again at Bodega Bay the next time I go to visit.

No whale of a tale. I did see at least two whales. I believe they were either adolescents or maybe even still babies. I am not an expert on whales, yet..... but I know what I saw. And the sightings for me, were exciting, fascinating,mysterious and beautiful. And awesome too!

Yesterday, I dined at CPK. I ordered their tasty Cranberry, Walnut Chicken Salad Sandwich, it has celery, onions and mayonnaise and is topped with lettuce and tomatoes.
With it comes your choice of either a salad or a cup of soup. I chose the Dakota Smashed Pea Soup. It also comes with sourdough bread with real butter, baby.... To drink is my all time favorite being an Italian Soda, Strawberry flavored, with whipped creme.

Roasted chicken, with green beans and leftover steamed rice. Stuff the chicken with fresh herbs and think I wasted them.
