What did you get for your 4th FP

Primevil at AK wasn't worth it. There was pretty much no line, and then the downpour cleared away anyone that was left, besides us.

The waits for the extra FP rides at MK (Buzz, JC, HM) all had waits that were at least 20 minutes or more, so I feel it was worth it. I didn't wait much more than 10 minutes for any extra FP. I only waited 5 for most of them. Plus, I waited while DH and DS did other things, like the treehouse or have a snack.

The kiosks don't have different availability, but just what's available at that moment. From your phone you can keep checking to see if something better popped up - usually if someone cancels.
Thanks that's a great tip.

So in your opinion getting the 4th FP was worth it in MK, not so much in AK

Yes, but I think it has to do with the time we got there (2-3pm) and what we wanted to ride. EE, Kali, and Dinosaur may have been worth it, but I didn't look into them. If we had gotten there an hour or so earlier, I bet there was more availability. Also, if it hadn't rained, Safari would have been worth it. We waited about 30 minutes for it. The first FP+ was after 5pm, and I wasn't sure if we would be there that long. Since it rained, it's likely that it may have closed after 5pm or there would have been no wait. We will be doing an afternoon at AK during March, but we will get there earlier (before 1pm). We also plan to ride more, so we'll see how it goes.

So based on everyone's responses so far: MK you can get practically anything except the Mountains. You might even get the mountains! AK: you can get almost anything, DHS you can probably get Great Movie ride, Star Tours and Fantasmic. Epcot: nothing, nada, zero, zip! Unless you want Figment or EO, of course.

This is great information thanks everyone. You've told me when we might benefit from a visit to a kiosk and when it would be pointless. That helps a lot. I know it's all guesswork, but if everyone has an idea of what might be available, it's easier to decide whether we want to wait in line or not.

Now another question: To those of you who got the 4th FP, did you feel you needed it or would it have been just as easy to ride SB? I know some of you already answered this, but some didn't.

So basically, do you think it's worth waiting in the kiosk line for a 4th FP rather than waiting in the SB line?

For December trip-space mountain, it was needed.

For January Saturday barnstormer--could take it or leave it since after the first ride it was walk on. There was a line When they used it. But I don't think I it was a FP worthy wait time.

I was curious about the availability for the 4th as well- so this is definitely useful information.:thumbsup2

A couple of follow-up questions I have are-

How early in the morning did you start your FP's?
Would it be wise to start them at 10:00, using the first hour for only standby?

November......used all 3 FP's at AK then went to DHS. Walked up to the kiosk as soon as we got in the park (around 4pm) to see what was open. To the castmembers surprise and ours we were able to get a FP for Rock-n-Roller Coaster which started in 5 minutes! So, after we got the FP we walked straight to the ride and got right on!! You never know what will show up. It is always worth checking!

I would think waiting in line for a 4th fp+ would take more time then waiting in line for the ride.

That's one of the reasons for this thread. Is it better to use the kiosk or just go SB after you've used your first 3 FP's? I know it's dependant on the park and time of year, but It's nice to hear what people have experienced.

We often get Peter Pan (late night) Haunted Mansion and Small World as 4th+ fast passes. Not a bad selection.

MK - Haunted Mansion, Buzz, Small World(surprisingly there was a line here), Tomorrowland Speedway.

Epcot - Spaceship Earth, Crush

HS - Star Tours

We got Dumbo as a 4th FP+ on a Friday at MK in November in the afternoon. MK was closing at 7 for the christmas party. It was worth it. SB wait was 15 minutes, we walked right on with the FP+ and I didn't have to wait at the kiosk at all. We used the Kiosk near Jungle cruise after we finished JC and while everyone else was getting a snack at Aloha Isle. So didn't go out of our way at all to get a 4th FP+. If I had to wait in line for the kiosk it might not have been worth it on that particular day. Another way to judge what's worth it is to check the FP+ availability the night before you go into the park. You can get an idea of what's left at that point before the park opens to see what's possible. We knew that it was a busy day and there wasn't much left but since we were standing in line for a snack & no wait at the kiosk it wasn't a big deal to get "something" for a 4th FP+ in case it saved us a couple minutes.

On my last trip in Nov (3rd week before Thanksgiving), I scheduled all 3 of our FP+ for the morning and still by lunch there wasn't usually anything decent left to get except for in MK. Usually we could get a FP for Buzz or Small World and yes the lines were long enough that it was worth having those. But in the other 3 parks nothing requiring a FP would be left by lunch time (shows and/or walk on stuff like It's Tough to Be a Bug).

So based on that experience I don't plan to wait for a kiosk except at MK on my next trip.

We were at the MK the 13 crowd level higher than 5. Our 4th FP+ was HM and our 5th was SM for 10:30pm. There was 14 of us so it made availability harder.

I'm maybe notyour audience because I actually decided to skip the kiosk process when I saw lines at MK. AS long as I saw an attraction (buzz , speedway, dumbo, little mermaid, small world, HM) that we like to ride and the wait was 15-20 or less, which we always could find, I didn't bother going to a kiosk to stand in a line of questionable length to get a FP for a ride with a wait of questionable length. We're opportunistic (and lazy? ;)) so if something decent was nearby we made no effort to search out something "better" via kiosk.

In AK we wander so much we just enjoyed the trails and Safari and shows, periodically checking SB wait for EE and just headed there for extra rides when the lines were short. Didn't even figure out where the kiosks were. Similar in Epcot - lots of wandering, snacking, Seas Pavillion (the kids could spend forever there), fountain watching. . .we were occupied enough and werent right near a kiosk so we didn't bother looking.

At DHS, the kiosk line looked long whenever we saw it (a lot like the picture someone often posts here, think it's Laketravis; and the first time I saw it, I thought it was a bathroom line) I didn't bother timing the wait to see if it was worth it since I had no optimism for TSMM, we had triple-ridden RnR at rope drop already and we'd done ToT via FP+ and reasonable standby already.

We were able to get Buzz at MK as a 4th FP. Probably could have gotten more but didn't mess with it.

We got Star Tours at DHS as a 4th FP.

We got FOTLK, Everest, and Dinosaur as 4th, 5th and 6th at AK.

Didn't try at Epcot.

In all of our cases the extra FPs were not needed. We were there on low crowd days and SB waits were short for most rides. But, there was basically no line at MK or AK kiosks and we were walking by them anyway, so why not and I was curious to see what was available. I think we waited maybe 4-5 minutes if that at DHS for the kiosk. We were there in January and crowd levels were very low.

Late July was our first FP+ trip. I did book a couple early, 9 & 9:15am, but we ended up using them toward the end of the window and they were AM EMH days. This time I have them all starting ~10am, even at MK with AM EMH starting at 7am.

One nice thing about early FPs is it forces you to get there early. Soarin wasn't very busy, so we rode SB 1st with a 10min wait and then again with FP+.
