What did you get for Valentine's Day?

2 dozen roses, and a romantic getaway weekend starting tomorrow night. We had dinner plans tonight but cancelled due to the icy weather....Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

I reserved a family cruise today! :thumbsup2 Of course now, we are having some scheduling conflicts so I may have to move the date around. :rotfl: This was really just a timing coincidence. We are going out to dinner tonight, but aren't exchanging anything. We are saving for our upcoming vacations!

My dh stayed home from work. We've been iced over! So, I got a long nap earlier and dh just went to take his nap! We're going out to dinner tomorrow night.

I don't know what I got yet! He will probably pick up something while he is at work today. He works at Disney, so I know I'll get something good! We're going out to dinner tonight so we'll probably blow alot of money on that too.

A trip tp Turks and Caicos with the kids for next year!:thumbsup2

Last week we were discussing how we didn't really need anything so there was no great need to buy anything for Valentine's Day. The next morning we got a great deal on a trip to Beaches Turks and Caicos and we booked it asap. We consider that our gift to each other.:)

I did end up getting my hubby a box of heart shaped truffles and two cards, a funny one and a romantic one. The funny one came with a BIG pin that said 'I'd Be Lost Without My Wife'.

I just came home from getting our oldest from school and found a beautiful bouquet of pink roses. :flower3: There was also a card, it had a giant pin like the one I gave him and it says 'Perfect Wife' on it.:upsidedow In the card he says something about the pin counting as jewelry. :lmao:

:confused3 Ugh?? Whatchyou talkin' bout willis. I'd take lobster over flowers anyday!:thumbsup2

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I guess I'm just being picky. But I think I got screwed. I get dinner every year for VD AND anniversary. Sometimes I want dinner and a gift. Sorry, I was raised to be spoiled and I don't want to let my parents down!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The best Valentines present ever from my husband.....
After 4 years of nagging, not just from me, but from his brother who was diagnosed four years ago with colon cancer; my husband went in this morning for a colonoscopy. His first ever. He's 51. They found a polyp the size of a strawberry and removed it. It is off to the lab but they said they were pretty sure it's precancerous. If he had waited just 3-6 more months to come in they said, he might not have been so lucky, and at the least would have surely faced major surgery to remove it.
Hey, what can top that?:)

I got a wonderful card and he made me an appointment for 2 hours at the day spa next Saturday for a massage, salt scrub, and hand and foot moisturizing treatment. And we are going to dinner this Saturday.

But I think the greatest thing he did for Valentine's Day was what he did for the other loves in his life. For his 93 year old grandmother, he bought her some lotion from Vickie's Secret and had them wrap it up for her, so her friends would see she got a box from there. For his mother, he bought a potted flowering plant because she would rather grow her own flowers than have some cut for her. For his children, he bought candy, candy, candy. For the therapists who work with my autistic daughter, he bought each one of them a box of truffles. For my daughter who doesn't eat much candy, he spent an hour in the toy aisle at the (large)Mart finding the perfect musical toy. He pressed each button to listen to the song and to see how the toy moved. She loved it. And I love him.

I got a dozen roses and The Imagineer Guide to the MK and to Epcot. I got DH a book he'd been wanting and candy.

The funny thing was neither one of us got the other a card. My car has been in the shop and he's had to drive me all over since last Friday. Got Valentine's cards for everybody but DH! So I made him one last night. I think he was really touched.

I retract all of my other greedy posts!!:worship:

The best of luck to all of you.:grouphug:

I got a big cuddly stuffed Thumper. I have to hold something when I sleep, and the pillow I had been holding is completely worn out, so DH got it for me to sleep with.

I came into my office this a.m. to find that DH has dropped off my gifts on Monday.

I got a vase with red hearts on it with 2 red roses. (I told him not to send me a dozen - they are ridiculously priced), and three boxes.

The first one was heart shaped and had a magnet in it to remind me that I am always loved.

The second one had a gift certificate to have a remote start put on my minivan.

The third box had four bags of personalized red and white M&M that said Love You Beverly.

and of course, a card.

He is truly a romantic.

I bought him a backpack for Scouting and a card.

He wins!

I might have to be nice to him after the kids go to bed tonight!

DH isn't home yet from work, so we haven't exchange cards yet. No plans since its snowing & roads are horrible. I'm sure after a nice dinner, we'll cuddle in front of the fire.

But so far, someone gave me a cold. Don't know who. I woke up very early this morning with very sore throat & drippy nose. :sad1:

We celebrated last Saturday because I was supposed to be out of town, but thanks to a cold and the weather - I'm not. Anyway, he brought me flowers, took me out to eat, gave me a very nice gc to Hobby Lobby, and to the movies. Today he brought me a card and a clear balloon with lots of little heart balloons inside. :cloud9: He did good this year! :thumbsup2 :cloud9:

 DH and I exchanged cards....he gave me a romantic one and I gave him a funny one.:lmao: Oh also got candy from DD. Oh again...forgot we went out for a nice lunch.

We sent each other e-cards on Hallmark.com that were silly, and are going out for cheap chinese tonight :) :) :)

DH got the kids a card, candy, stuffed dogs(they look like the kids dogs), DD got a palm tree and DS got a football. Dh got me a card,2 snoopy books (I'm a HUGE Snoopy fan, even got a baby snoopy tattooed on my ankle),snoopy boxers, a mickey mouse snow globe and mickey mouse heart balloon. The one snoopy book is really a baby's valentine book, but we were at B&N last week and I picked it up and asked DH if it looked familiar and he said "why should it?" and I told him because it's permanently inked on my leg!! DUHHHHHH. All I got DH was a card. but he's one that making us happy is making him happy. When we do buy him stuff he says he loves it but we could spend the money on ourselves. Like he doesn't deserve a gift. When he does, he works so hard for our family. He's the greatest. I think we'll keep him for ever!!!!!!

Hubby and I are going out to dinner Saturday night, to a restaurant we haven't been able to get into, yet!! My mom is coming out and watching the boys for us.

He got me some flowers when he went out in the blizzard this am. I got him (and DS#1, too) some games for playstation...cars and nascar 2007..believe me, anytime he gets a new game, it's a hit.
