What did you get for Christmas?

From DH I got a beautiful white gold bracelet with diamond accents.
From DS I got new ASICS running shoes.
From DD I got all new kitchen towels, potholders, etc to replace our ratty ones.

But the best gift was a family trip to New Orleans, French Quarter. We spent from the 24th through 29th together having fun! The weather was great, so almost everything we did was outside. Thank goodness, because I planned and paid for the trip before the latest covid spike. Even though we are all vaxed and boosted and vax cards are required to enter places in NOLA, I was nervous to go, but it went well.

My husband and I don’t exchange gifts and the kids just give us a few small things that we usually had a hand in picking for ourselves. Two of my gifts were a Little People Golden Girls collector’s set and a Betty White book.

Its a toss up. DH got me a ticket to see Neil Gaiman in Chicago in May, along with a train ticket and hotel room for the trip. It'll be my first trip completely solo since a professional conference I attended in 2017 and I am super hyped about that. But MIL got us an air fryer because she always gets us something for the house, and DH is so in love with it that he's cooking dinner every other night. So that looks to be the gift that keeps on giving!

My favorite gifts were a $50 Disney gift card from my daughter that she bought herself and a Merry Vlogmas sweatshirt from Jessica Braun merch that I bought myself !!!! And a Adam Hattan jumper !!!! Treat yourself!!!!

Well, the best gift was not having any house guests for the third year in a row. It was blissful. I never want house guests on Christmas Day ever again.

The best tangible gift were some platinum ball stud earrings my husband gave me. I've been wanting some basic ball stud earrings for awhile and he got me some that will last forever.
Once you go “cozy, quiet Christmas” you never go back.

So many great things

life time supply of my favorite flavored water fun fact it is available at bed bath and beyond

a charging thing for my dresser so my cords are off the floor finally

alarm and flashlight that goes on my purse

Ticket to see The Music Man with Hugh Jackman. Was supposed to be today, but luckily my daughter changed the date as she saw shows canceling due to Covid. Hugh has Covid and the show is on pause for a few more days.

Also got a new Fitbit and Kindle. And one of my favorite things was a box of masks with all different designs.😅

Disney gift cards from my two cousins for my upcoming trip, and an Amazon gift card from my aunt-which I used the other day to treat myself to set of acrylic paint pens. My Godson (who is two) got me a Mickey Mouse luggage tag. I'm not seeing my sister until next week-we'll exchange gifts then, and I'll get something from her 3 kids as well.

My DH and I don't exchange, so I bought my own gifts this year. I was a very good girl! :santa:

I got Apple AirPods, which I didn't particularly want but which my husband really seemed to think I would like and has been wanting me to get for a while, so I finally just let him get them for me to end the discussion. They're ok but I don't really like walking around with things in my ears.

I asked for and received the Disney pillow that says HOME and the O is Cinderella's castle. It's a little pricier than I would normally spend on a pillow for myself but nice to get as a gift; it looks great on my daybed. DH also gave me some earrings, a Barnes & Noble gift card, and some Bath & Body Works lotions and hand soaps.

My daughter gave me an external backup drive for my laptop and my son gave me a Griswold's Christmas Vacation puzzle.

My mom gave me some cash and my in-laws gave me a fairy light tree for my office that I wanted (also some shoes but those will need to go back).

It was a good Christmas!

I asked for and received a lot of practical things this Christmas: clothes, towels, socks, calendar, tea kettle, slippers, etc. I also got several gift cards and some cash from my mom. One of my boys picked out a nice sweater for me, and the other gave me my favorite showers gels. Then my birthday rolled around last week and I got more clothes, gift cards and cash. DH got me some "garage balls" since I tend to pull my car too far into the garage and then no one can open the freezer! My sister gave me some cute Mickey earrings. Her birthday is coming up later this week, so I shopped for her gifts today. It's just one party after another in our family!
