What did you do today?

Walked my son to the little league field at 10 for his team pictures and Opening Day. Volunteered in the snack stand, which was crazy crazy busy, like run off my feet busy for a few hours.
Cried as i watched my daughters BFF sing the National Anthem(12 years old, amazing voice, amazing poise).
Left at 1 to go watch my husband(coach) and son's game (can only see one field from the snack stand, and he was on the other one). Was there til 3.
Came home, ferried DDs BFF around so she could grab stuff to sleep over, went to Home Depot with my husband because I pulled my son's blinds to open them and the entire thing came crashing down, so had to buy a new one.

Cleaned the bathroom and then went with my husband to his Fire Departments annual fundraiser, beefsteak and comedy show. Had a great time, drank a bottle of wine and got home a little while ago.
Have to be up at 7 tomorrow. :-(

It was beautiful here in Southern California. I went to Hollywood with a couple of friends of mine, and for the heck of it we took a tour to the Hollywood sign. We were having so much fun with our tour guide we upgraded to the full Hollywood tour. Afterwards we went to the Dolby Center (used to be Kodak Center) at the corner of Hollywood and Highland, and had a very leisurely lunch at the Grill, then walked around and checked out the shops and street entertainment.

It was such a fun day.

DH and I had dentist appointments....I bet you all are jealous!!!

(We love our dentist - he just happens to be about 90 miles away - but he has Saturday hours)
We tried to hook up with our old neighbors - but that didn't work out.

We had Chicago-style hot dogs, and came home.

I was glad to see that 3 of 4 of our neighbors that still had X-mas decorations up took them down today. The other one - usually takes them down in mid-May.

The grass is greening up a little by us...that was nice to see.

We love our dentist too and he's about 50 miles away. I agree with you to travel to keep a good dentist.

Sat. we went to my FIL's birthday party. My DH wanted to bring two dozen Dunkin Donuts...good thing I told him just a dozen, there were so many left over because all the guests brought a dessert.

We had a list of things to do today but that all was chucked aside after our first duty this morning: our cat had a regular check-up today and she was due a shot for her URI.

It was discovered that she now has a heart issue and she's lost almost a whole pound since her last check-up. :worried: She's only 5.9 pounds now. She was well over six pounds at her last check up.

So now, we can go over our kitty's issues: kidney failure, gingivitis, chronic URI, deformed claw/foot, and now a heart issue.

It was determined that we could opt for an EKG, sedation, tests, possible x-rays, but then the doc thought with her kidneys it would be too much.

So, we are just going to go on as usual, and love and cuddle her just a little more (even if that is possible). Considering she wasn't supposed to make it here even this long, we're just going to spoil her rotten.

:thumbsup2

It was absolutely gorgeous day here in Southern Calif, Orange County.

My son is home just for the week end from college and had plans to go work out with friends...that's a good 5 hours there.

I have a 14 year old daughter who is moody and cranky and can't decide what she wants to do.

So hubby and I left about 1:00 pm to San Clemente Pier for lunch, waited with a glass of wine for an hour to be seated and then had a wonderful late lunch. Got some sun, had great food, conversation, watched the surfers, people on the beach.

We when walked in the door...same ol same ol. DD in her room. DS just came home from working out.

Later we all went out for Mexican food.

It was a beautiful day!!!!

Sometimes, it's just those - get in the car, let's go times, that end up being unbelievable, fun, a moment in time.

Great thread
