Bottom line is I had to feed DH and I since we had to go out afterwards. $10.50 at Wendys. This is our first eat out since we made our New Years resolution to eat out less but could not be helped.
H has a friend who does tile so he gave us tile that was left over from some of his jobs for free and installed it. He asked for $100 to help with the cost of supplies to install, and it will cost us some of H's time to help him with home projects or computer fixing as needed in the future. He says if we bought the tile it was close to $1,000 (very high quality); not that we'd ever spend that much ourselves if we had to purchase the tile
. Not sure what it would have cost to do the floor ourselves but we saved a bunch by having such a good friend
