Spent $1.61 on 2 craft kits at AC Moore by using a coupon (normally would be $2-something)...other than that I had a NO BUY day! (Which is very rare for me...sigh...)
I think I did pretty good today!
Today we went to see Seasme Street Live with my preschool class and their parents, we got the tickets at $11 each, instead of the $18.
Then...for lunch.....I had each parent sign up for Fazolis email club, which emailed them a coupon for a free spaghetti entree, so every adult ate free. I also called in advance and the DM gave us the discount of $.99 kids meals, so I fed 7 children and 8 adults for $7.53.
Also, my mom bought a Groupon for Gap and it was going to expire before she could use it, so she gave it to me, it was for $50, I spent it today and didnt have to spend a penny out of pocket!
I kindof made money today!
In the mail was my 28.00 check from Opinion Outpost (which seriously only took less than 2 weeks to arrive) and my 50.00 rebate from At&T (purchased 2 new phones, 99.00 each, 1 50.00 rebate/1 phone got extras such as car charger, bluetooth earpiece, etc, not too bad of a deal).
Did spend 20.00 for gas, but stopped in the little town on my way to work which is always cheaper than the places around my house.
2.5 lbs. of chicken breast at Target (2 meals!) for $4.99
3 lbs. of apples at Target for $2.99
1 bag of Steamfresh potatoes FREE COUPON
4 boxes of cereal @ Stop & Shop for $8 total and got a coupon for a free gallon of milk next time
5 Healthy Choice lunches for DH for $10
1 gallon of milk for $2.50 (on sale)
Also got some good deals at Shop Rite and used coupons. I hardly need any more groceries for the week (leading up to and including Thanksgiving dinner) and I have my whole menu mapped out. YEAH!
Just some veggies, fruit, and a box of stuffing and we're good to go. Most likely I'll need another gallon of milk before next Friday (when DH gets paid next) but I have that coupon for a free one. I'll also pick out my free turkey on Monday which should mean it's nicely defrosted for Thursday a.m. cooking.
I had a great savings day today. We bought my son the bike he wanted for Christmas at ToysRUs. We had a 15% off coupon and got a $25 dollar gift card. The coupon said you couldn't combine offers, but they did!
I had heard about the Sam's Disney Gift cards, but when I called my local store they didn't know anything about them. Good thing I went to check for myself. There was a whole display of them. I had already paid $600 on my package so I didn't figure I would be able to get the $10 Disney Store gift cards for that money. I bought $700 worth which gives me $70 towards the Dooney and Burke purse I want at DisneyStore.com. Then I figured I could cancel my current reservation and get a refund then rebook using more giftcards and end up getting my Dooney for FREE!!! CRO exceeded my expectations and are refunding the money I have already paid to my debit card so that I can repay it with giftcards. No need to cancel my ressie and risk losing my Standard view room on free dining at CSR. Plus I think I will hold out for another 20% of all purchases at DisneyStore.com email coupon so I can get the purse and more stuff.
Instead of watching TV I logged onto Opinion Outpost and spent about 2 hours taking surveys. I don't know if it's my luck or the new system they are using, but I have made $25 in the last 2 nights! DD5 wanted a Victorious doll for Christmas and I was hesitant to buy it for her. She doesn't really play with these kinds of dolls, and they are always cheaply made and don't last long. I wasn't wanting to spend $20 to buy something that I know will end up at the bottom of the toy box soon after Christmas. Then I think it is the main thing she's been asking for this year, and I do usually make sure to have the main thing under the tree. So instead of spending $20 out of pocket I skipped catching up on CSI for the last few nights and just ordered the doll on Amazon, using my Opinion Outpost giftcards. I don't know if that counts as spending money, but at least it's not taking money out of our Christmas budget and I won't care as much when it ends up at the bottom of the toybox.
