if you are creative, walmart has a plain veil for 10 dollars. i have gotten it and plan on adding perals in the shape of mickey. I'll post a pic with I'm done
yes..walmart has the some of the same combs MICHAELS did..actually, Walmart had a really good wedding section..which I didn't discover until AFTER the wedding!
I ordered mine from occanseydesigns.com. They custom make veils for pretty cheap (mine was ~$45 with crystals scattered on it; plain ones are cheaper). I received it about two weeks after ordering, and it's beautiful!
I got my eBay veil from seller ultimatebridal for $30. She made it for me and shipped it quickly when she found out I had my hair trial the next weekend - great customer service!
I bought my veil along w/my dress at Davids Bridal....I'm not really that picky so when she put it on me and it matched my dress I was like oooh sure...then when I asked the price I was SHOCKED!!!! I still got it though...I'm such a sucker...lol
I appreciate all the suggestions. I thought about making my own, but my fiance pointed out that with everything coming up so fast, it would be best to get a professional to do it and have it all ready and waiting so it's one last thing for me to have to worry about. I'm decent with crafts, but there's always a chance for screw ups, and the wedding is Oct 1, so . . . eek!
I know what you mean, Flower. I loved the dress/veil combo I was shown at David's, and I bought the dress. She was going to bring the veil to the register and when she told me what the price was after I stopped her to ask, I was like, ". . . um, I don't think it would be good to sell my kidneys on eBay to have to pay for all this! I think that sort of thing is frowned on." Im glad everything worked out for you though!
I bought mine from a friend, it was exactly what I wanted a plain shimmer veil, cathedral length, all for the price of £5 ($10) You can see how it long it is in this pic, I didn't know how much I would love it until I wore it on my wedding day.
