What did you dance to at your wedding?

"When You Wish Upon A Star" by Billy Joel from the Simply Mad About the Mouse soundtrack... it was Oct.8, 1994 and I was working for Disney at the time (Asst. Mgr in a Disney Store). We had a Disney "themed" wedding in RI (not allowed to have a Catholic ceremony outside the church) and then we honeymooned in Disney :)

Everything I do. I do it for you. (forget the name of the singer, and not exactly sure of the title) Sure hope DH never sees this post.

Shania Twain's You've got a way. :)

Married in 1990
Elvis Presley's "Can't Stop Falling in Love" segued right into "I Melt With You" by Modern English.

My husband and I were married in 1974. We danced to "Let Me Call You Sweetheart"

"Once in a lifetime" by Michael Bolton from the movie Only You.

We danced to this one too - Bryan Adams, I think... :goodvibes

We danced to "The Gift" by Collin Ray -
we got married on New Year's Eve and it was snowing and there was a fireplace at our reception hall - it was SO perfect

Although sometimes I wish we had picked "Can't help falling in love with you" we consider it our song and it is played at every wedding reception-

here are the lyrics:

Winter snow is falling down
Children laughing all around
Lights are turning on
Like a fairy tale come true
Sitting by the fire we made
You’re the answer when I prayed
I would find someone
And baby I found you

Chorus:
All I want is to hold you forever
All I need is you more every day
You saved my heart
From being broken apart
You gave your love away
And I’m thankful every day
For the gift

Watching as you softly sleep
What I’d give if I could keep
Just this moment
If only time stood still
But the colors fade away
And the years will make us grey
But baby in my eyes
You’ll still be beautiful

(chorus)

(piano solo)

Chorus:
All I want is to hold you forever
All I need is you more every day
You saved my heart
From being broken apart
You gave your love away
I can’t find the words to say
That I’m thankful everyday
For the gift

"I Don't Want Her You Can Have Her She's Too Fat for Me."

Nah, just kidding.
Actually, we wanted "Stand by Me" by Ben E. King. But my dad insisted we have a polka band at our reception, and even though we specifically asked the band leader if they knew this song and he assured us they did, when it came time for our first dance, they 'fessed up that they couldn't play it. So we had to dance to some waltz. Good thing we took ballroom dance lessons before our wedding.
That was probably too much information, wasn't it?
