What did you buy at this years Marathon weekend?

We bought... a hat (for DH), a water bootle, and the purple champion zip up jacket for the half. I really wanted a t-shirt but was too scared that I wouldn't finish. I didn't see the booth after we crossed the finish line so I missed out :sad2:

Oh well, that gives us even more excuse to go back & run the full in a few years. Woohoo!!Although, I plan on actually training this time. :rotfl2:

A short-sleeved half-marathon tech shirt, and some Body Glide.

A tangent: is there any difference between regular Body Glide and the women's version? The only thing I could figure is that it appeared to be pink. (I bought the regular!)

Sunglasses & Clif rocks. I wanted an "I did it!" shirt, but I really didn't know if I was going to finish. Of course, after I crossed the finish line, I went straight to the merchandise tent to get me the shirt, and they told me they sold out on Friday.

Really? Sell out of the accomplishment shirt before anyone completes the accomplishment?

Boo.

PS - any codes for ASI Photo yet?

We bought the "I Did It" t-shirts on Thursday morning. I was nervous about jinxing us but was afraid the t-shirts would be gone by the time the race was over.

That was smart. I had no idea Disney would produce less shirts than needed. Now I wait for some shirts to pop up on ebay.

I got the Donald race pin, a very cool Donald race vinylmation:thumbsup2 and I bought one of the yellow RunDisney tec shirts. I didn't like any of the half marathon shirts available at the expo. I also bought the Timex Ironman GPS watch, I have to spend more time playing with it to get used to all the bells and whistles the watch has.

No difference at all...I thought it was funny too.

As mentioned, nothing at all. It's just a different size and serves the same purpose as the others.

I bought:
-Disney hat, because I forgot to pack mine. I like this one better anyway
-1/2 marathon t-shirt. I almost bought the tech shirt but I could not justify spending $32.95 on it and the terrible print job
-Mickey Mouse Beanie baby
-5k and 1/2 marathon pin

-Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6's for $63. I bought a pair locally for $90 month last, so this was a mad steal.
-the biggest size of bodyglide, because they're $13 at the local running store compared to $8
-five packs of Jelly Belly Sport Beans for $5
-asics arm warmers for $10
-ifitness belt for $22
-nipguards, for no reason whatsoever.
-the lighted armband in pink
-a good laugh at the people representing the Ottawa and Quebec City marathons for spending more time on their phones all day than selling their event at the expo.

I couldn't find any neon calf compression socks. Was someone even selling it? I wanted a few pairs after I saw so many people running in them.

Somewhat related, but I went to the outlet mall on Friday and bought compression pants, five pairs of running socks, and running gloves and hats at the nike store. Cost about $82 altogether. The pants alone would have cost me $90 in Canada.

I did not know if I would finish, so I stayed away from the "I Did It" items. I wish I had one now. I did purchase a black hooded sweatshirt for 49.95.

I preordered the pin for the half. I also bought the "I Did It" shirt and the "Runner by Day, Park Hopper by Night" shirt. Of course, I kept them hidden until I actually finished the half.

I bought lots of Goofy challenge related stuff: hat, short sleeve tech, light weight fleece & goofy pin. Could have boughts lots more, but I was a good boy :)

Me too. My daughter ran. We treated her to Richard Petty instead of shirts, but it would sure be nice. She got a small shirt in her bag, but she really needs an extra small.

BACON..."for no reason whatsoever"... :rotfl:

The shirts they gave us were huge this year! I got a small last year and this year, this years is much bigger.

Really? Sell out of the accomplishment shirt before anyone completes the accomplishment?

I learned my lesson in 2009 the year of my first full - I didn't want to buy the I Did It shirt before I well...Did it. Couldn't find any afterwords so from then on I decided it was better to buy it beforehand and if for some reason I didn't Do IT I could sell it on Ebay. I am proud to say that each time after that first time I bought the shirt and never had to put on on Ebay!!! :thumbsup2

I personally think that if there's any "bad juju" to the accomplishment shirt, it would be in putting it on. Just buying it and keeping it in the bag I think is fine. And if you're THAT superstitious, make someone else in your party buy it and hold onto the bag. :)

Yeah, live & learn. :confused3

For me, it wasn't a supersition thing. If for some reason I couldn't finish the run, having that shirt might sting a bit. (Of course, as mentioned above, eBay could have helped me feel better.)

So far, no "I did it" shirts for sale on eBay.

The XS shirt isn't really smaller. The arms are tighter and that's about it. The body of the shirt is HUGE!

Ya, my small is way too big. I have a small from 2009 and it is way smaller! Oddly enough, I bought a medium short sleeve tech shirt at the expo and it is too small! :confused3

My niece and I got matching "suck it up, Cupcake" bondi bands that we wore for her first half marathon.
I got the goofy capris and matching top plus the white lacy disney marathon long sleeve top. I am especially glad I bought the top because GG#1 told me I look skinny in it!
I figured I could splurge a little since all my work out tops are from previous races!

I am a newbie here but love that there is a place for Disney runners.

I brought home a new pair of capri pants/skirt from the Run Girl Run booth. And another 2 pouch running belt from iFitness.

Plus a bumper sticker with 26.2 - this was my first marathon. I loved every minute of it. I ran the entire thing with my 61 year old Father! Great moment when I crossed the finish line.

Isn't that iFitness belt great! I just love it. Congrats to you and your father on the marathon!
