Did you go to the world and pack something you didn't even use that just took up room in your luggage? :confused3

To start this off our last trip I brought my fanny pack. We didn't need it though we just used DH's backpack. :groom:

pool toys, books/games for the room, extra snacks--We never used any of these. Kids were happy to just swim, never spent enough time in the room, they wanted popcorn and mickey bars instead.

YMMV of course.

We took a tote bag full of toys for 3-year-old DD. We never even unpacked it!

I usually end up packing too many shoes.

I usually pack too many snacks.

On our trip in August I brought the misty mate, special cooling bandanas, and mist fan and ended up only using the misty mate one day. Instead we just used a face cloth from our room. Wetting it throughout the day with fountain water.

Moleskins. I haven't needed them since I started wearing my Teva Pretty Rugged sandals! :goodvibes

My DH is much worse then me and WAY over packs!!

Fever medicine for my kids but I'll continue to bring it just in case.

Pal Mickey always ends up staying in our room after one day.

Laundry detergent and dryer sheets, WAY too many snacks, pool toys, bubbles, glow sticks (kids were always in bed before dark), breakfast foods.

Mostly, I just packed way too much food. DH and the kids absolutely LOVED breakfast in the food court and the meals were so big no one really needed all the snack items I took. We ended up leaving a lot of food behind and packing a lot of food to take back home.

The one food item we did use a ton of was those individual Crystal Lite packs that you add to bottled water. We saved tons of money on drinks by buying resort mugs and only drinking tap water with lemonade, orange or fruit punch added when in the parks. Good stuff...

A hair dryer and an iron!!! I did not realize that these were even in the All Stars. I wasted a lot of luggage space and weight with these.

I packed waaaaaaaaaaay too many snacks and breakfast foods. We had the dining plan and were able to get 1-2 breakfast platters and share with our 3 children. I will definately pack fewer snacks for our 06 adventure :)

We are a family of five. Too many snacks - 2 boxes of granola bars and 1 box of poptarts - brought at least 1/2 home. A 10 pack of juice boxes - brought 4 home. With dining plan, more than enough food and snacks. As for boys, bring a small bag, ours hardly played with theirs at all - not in the room much. Also, brought glow sticks and didn't use them. And the weight limit at the airport is 50 lbs per bag (AirTranAirways). We were moving items from one suitcase to the other to get under.

Pants, in case it was cool in the evening. It never got cool enough for them!

An extra large tote bag full of toys. DId it 2x and both times my DD didn't play with them so they are staying home this year.

We use to pack way to many clothes. Most of them would go from the suitcase to the drawers and then back to the suitcase. Never being used, but, always being in the way.
Now I pack 4-5 days of clothes for a 10 day trip. My DH and I swap off doing laundry while everyone is swimming. We've cut our suitcases down to 1large and 1 smaller one for a family of 3. I hate lugging luggage through the airport.
Our next goal is to bring everything in our carry-ons and have no worries.

I just returned from a trip April 15-22 and I did not use my jeans or sweatshirts. I packed 2 for each of us (DH & DS) and we never used them!!! I also did not use our buttpack since we had a nice back pack and stroller. OHH, I also packed lots of snacks (PB Ritz, cheese nips, granola bars, etc.) and hardly ate any of them. With the DDP we had sooo much food we didn't know what to do!!!

Snacks!
We did the Dining Plan in January (and always will from now on :goodvibes ).
We had to bring all of our snacks back home with us.

For our May trip...no snacks are coming with us, non at all.

We drove in January and we used a sweatshirt and jacket once the whole week we were there. In fact we had to buy short sleeve shirts for us since it was so warm. I also brought toys for the kids that they never touched and lots of snacks. This time I am not bringing so much.

I keep hearing people say that the DDP plan has more than enough food and they usually bring home their snacks that they packed for the trip. I think you have helped me make a good decision. I was going to pack a few snacks - nuts, trail mix, caprisuns and fruit snacks but I don't think I am now.

I hate carrying things in the park so this will be less items I need to carry.

Those little tubes of Crystal Lite. I know alot of people use them but I don't drink it at home what made me think I would at WDW? I drink plain water, ice tea, and of course Diet Coke. We make at least one trip to a store and have plenty of Diet Cokes in the room (enough to bring into the park even) and with the refillable cups and DDP I just didn't use those tubes-luckily they didn't take much room. :rotfl2:

Also, when my DD was younger, books. She never looked at them. The only thing she plays with, then and now, is her Beanie Babies. I let her bring a certain amount (around 4) and she spends time with them in the evening while settling for bed, just like she does at home. Also, when we return to the room sometimes her animals have been up to mischief-like watching t.v.! She loves that!

This Sept. I probably will bring her a book as she loves to read. However, it won't be the Harry Potter :wizard: book she's reading as it's way too heavy! Even though she's only six she's into more advanced chapter books now. This is the 4th HP she's read. I'll probably bring along a Narnia paperbook, she's read it before, but she likes it enough to read again.
