Jellied or whole cranberry sauce?

Jellied for me - always..:thumbsup2

I make a platter with both.

I like jellied on it's own, and berry on everything!

For my DH it must be canned, it must be jellied and it must be OceanSpray.:goodvibes

I myself, prefer a raw relish or whole cooked with fresh cranberries.

My husband makes the most delicious cranberry sauce. I never liked canned cranberries and that was all I knew until a few years ago.

I make mine from the actual cranberries, no cans, but it does turn out to be "jellied". I also add orange juice concentrate, orange zest, and in 1/2 of the recipe balsamic vinegar.

Whole berry fresh cranberry sauce. My kids call it "razzleberry dressing.":goodvibes

Ocean Spray, Jellie, squished out of the can in all of its tublar glory and sliced!

And a little homemade orange cranberry chopped relish next to it.

Whole and pure just like my Pilgrim ancestors

Jellied w/meal :thumbsup2 ~ however I always use the whole cranberries in my Cranberry Crunch Salad that I only make for TGiving/C'mas :goodvibes

Home made, whole berry. Like it's hard to make home made. 2 cups sugar, 2 cups water, 1 bag of cranberries, boil 10 minutes, done.
Jellied is a waste of time to me.

I would love the recipe for Cranberry Crunch Salad. It sounds wonderful.

I make my own too but add a fresh orange (flesh, juice and a bit of zest in place of a 1/4 cup of the water) to the above recipe. It is always eaten up.

But there is always a bowl of the canned jellied on the table too. DH doesn't like my fancy stuff and loves the canned. :rotfl:

I like them both! And sometimes, we have them both, depending on who is coming for dinner! But really, the BEST is my mom's homemade cranberry sauce! And it is really SO easy to make. It's just fresh cranberries, water and sugar. So much better than the canned stuff!

I actually love both! The jellied is great on sandwiches and the whole cranberry salad is awesome by itself. We always have both on thanksgiving.
