What did the recent PIN codes get you?

I saw people had PIN codes for use after 10/2/06 just wondering if anyone udes a PIN code to book and if so what kind of a deal did you get?

I called Disney and asked to see if I had a PIN code attached to my name and the CM acted like I was crazy and didn't understand what I wanted she finally just said no there are no specials out for 2/07 and to try back in December and see if they had any specials for that time.

I called over the weekend to book a surprise trip for the end of October. (10/27 - 11/3) The CM told me I had a PIN linked to my name. I was able to book 7 nights at the poly, 8 day park hopper, disney dining plan and tickets to MNSSHP for myself, DH and 3DDs approx $3600. That is a big break from the rack rates at that time. I have no idea how or why I got the PIN other than we have traveled to WDW many times in the last 6 years.

I had a pin attached to my name when calling recently to book one night at Pop Century. The CM told me of the code and said I could book the room/standard for $84 a night (before taxes). I choose to book with my AP rate of $79 a night (before taxes). The pin code didn't wow me.

I decided to call back and see if I got a different answer than this morning. I was told that I do have a pin code for booking after oct 10th but they also told me that the discount would be on room only! Has anyone else had a pin code attached to their name that would allow them a discount on a package?? or is it generally just a discount on room only?

I had a code that I was able to apply to a package two years ago. It was GREAT it was in June and it was 125 a night at WILDERNESS LODGE. Now of course we spend more on each trip because I'm hooked on WL and won't go anywhere else, so I guess it really paid for Disney to pin us!!!

I am wondering if I could get lower price using a code or booking a room only with AAA. Does Disney accept AAA over the phone or do I *have* to go through a AAA TA? anyone know?

Pin codes are specific to the person who got them and only work for that person. It's against the rules of the board for anyone to tell what their code is.

Yes, you can call Disney and get a AAA rate - you do not have to go through a AAA TA.

Mine wasn't a pin code, it was the general package code.

I wasn't asking FOR the code I was asking what it was, meaning more of an explanation. Was it some 3 letter code or was it the PIN she was talking about. SORRY I wasn't more specific.

Here's my report...I just got off the phone with Disney reservations and I was told I had a PIN with my name but it was for Jan/Feb. I said well I wanted to go in December...and she said well wait, let me see...well are you going to use the dining plan when you are here? I said maybe, and she said well we can do a discount on the dining plan.

I said ok what is it, like 50% off? and she laughed at said no not quite that much and then I reminded her that Disney offered it for FREE recently so me asking for it at 50% off wasn't that great of a stretch. ANd we had a little chuckle.

Anyways, she said the discount would save me about 20% off of the package. So I said well what is the cost. So we looked at a 6 night package reservation for the Polynesian in December w/ 7 day tickets and the dining for $3018.80. Room only was quoted to me (for the same # of nights at the Poly) at $2126.27...so if you subtract that from the package the tickets and dining plan would cost me about 900.00 total. I think that is a good deal considering tickets for the 3 of us are in the neighborhood of 600.00.

That's just the ZDN with dining code (which is actually ZDM)... we got the same pkg for 4 nights at the Poly in Dec for $2192, std view, 4 days tickets and the dining plan (there are 4 of us, but one under 2).

It is a good deal... room is about $308 per night.

I called today to get a quote on a late Jan. trip and, wouldn't you know it, there's a code associated with my address for Oct.-Dec. After I hung up I started wondering if maybe the Jan. codes just aren't out there yet. It's probably too much to hope for that another code would get attached to me again so soon. Oh well, I'll just be thankful to be at Disney World again - that's the important part. Code or no code - Mickey here we come!

Aunt K: I have read a number of posts from people who say they have a code, but can't find out what it is until 10/10....I wonder if that is the start of Jan pin codes? I will probably call back after 10/10 - you never know!
