We were at WDW from Oct 23rd to Oct 28th. DH knew that we would be there for the Funai Golf Classic. On Sunday we asked every CM we could find, where do we buy the pin. We took a bus to T&T, then walked to the Polynesian. No pins there. We were told to WALK to the Shades of Green. Some walk. We had to pass thru SECURITY before we could even cross the road. NO CAMERAS and NO CELL PHONES. DH was determined to see if he could find a pin. We check our cameras and cell phone, and proceed to the security entrance. No ticket, no entrance..."but we just want to buy a pin"...
We must have looked desperate because the security guard gave us two tickets to get in (must have been worth $30 each)..
We proceed to the tents and they tell us, Disney did not make a pin this year for the event. Oh No, but there is a vendor selling generic funai pins that you can buy. We bought 2 generic funai golf pins and had him engrave the date. I asked DH if he wanted to watch some golf, since we were already in...Nope, just wanted to buy a pin.
Now we have to get back to the parks. We took the CM volunteer bus back to TnT, then a monorail back to Epcot where are car was parked.
Needed a nap after that ordeal.
