What DDP restaurant would you NOT return to?

Just curious if there was one that was so bad that you would never, ever return to it. We go in Jan. and I am second guessing some of my choices on the dining plan. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, Tony's is pretty bad. Would never go back there. I also would never go back to Concourse Steakhouse. Oh, wait - it's gone! :lmao:

My choices are popular restaurants here, but I wouldn't go back to:

Kona - Breakfast
Chef Mickey - Dinner
Boma - Breakfast
LTT - Dinner without characters

I'd grudgingly go back to WCC dinner one more time - we had a bad server and didn't care for the lukewarm skillet. I'd try a different meal and go back for antics.

We also didn't like our meals at PTC, so we'd go back for sandwiches and atmosphere.

(I know our list is long - we really like a lot of places too, but that isn't answering the question posted)

Don't stress about your dining reservations. Everyone has an opinion and not everybody eats like you do. We are pretty plain eaters in my household. We don't eat a lot of fancy foods. As a matter of fact, my fave restaurant at home is a burger joint. Best burgers you will ever have though. LOL...go and enjoy the restaurants you chose. Go to restaurants you chose because of the menu or atmosphere and remember to enjoy yourself.

I really agree with the other person here who said "don't stress with your dinning reservations"...it's so crazy on this board- yes, there are thousands of great ideas, tips and tricks for Disney here, but when it comes to the dinning reservations and where to eat- everyone has a different view on that...some think that certain restaurants are 100% amazinly great, while others would say that same exact restaurant is a "NEVER RETURN IN MY LIFETIME" type of restaurant.

I would not return to chef mickey's because we've had two horrible visits there, but the next person may say it's the best restaurant experiance ever. The food was lacking and cold both times. We were not happy with the service either!

frankly I cannot stand the so called authentic "italian restaurant" in the Italy pavilion in epcot! NEVER EVER EVER again will I go there, but that is because I can cook Italian food really well- and when I go there, it tastes plain, like every thing that is served there comes out of a can or prepackaged bag.

My family loves good food and even my girls (ages 4 and 6) love really good tasting and good quality food. Some people like plain "no thrills not fancy" foods, some people only care about large portion sizes for the price you pay...it's all depending on what your personal interests are.

I like to ask people their opinions more on "where they'd like to eat" because then, I get good "experiances" and thoughts about certain restaurants. When people are asked "where they'd never eat" I'm sure 70-80% of people on here have had a bad experiance with eating at Disney and most of those people have a different complaint from a different place! We've all had bad experiances at all different places for all different reasons.

It all depends on what YOU and your family is looking for...what you're looking for and what you don't like.

for us it's Tony's, Cape May (breakfast), LTT w/out characters (certainly did not go there for the food!), and San Angel Inn!

I agree it's hard to ask food opinions, everyones are different.

We are some of the ones who love CM, we do it twice every trip (one breakfast and one dinner).

We didn't have any meals we would never go back to. All our meals were very good. I probably would not go back to 50s for a while, we waited over an hour past our ADR time and didn't get any antics, but the food was amazing. I love the food but it took up too much of our limited time. Kona was good, but I sort of have the been there-done that attitude. The meal was very good and would go back, but would not call it a don't miss.
Our biggest surprise was Cali Grill. The food was good, the view was amazing, but we had much better meals elsewhere. I know people would call me crazy, but I don't plan to go back. Glad we went once, but that was enough. LeCellier on the otehr hand I would eat at every day, Woflgang Puck Express I would too! Both of those were outstanding. My DH's favorite meal as at Akerhaus, he had Salmon and loved it. I enjoyed the salad bar and dessert very much but made a bad meal choice (the pasta).
We loved WCC and CRT but then we do them every trip and knew we'd like them.

I say read the menus and try what sounds good to you, that is the only way you will know what you like...

Enjoy. In all our trips we have only had one truly bad meal, and we were refunded our money as the manager agreed it was an off day.

I would say Tony's as well. The free bread was the only part of our meal that we liked.

However I agree with what others have said. I find myself questioning our choices many times after reading some reviews but then talk myself down. We all have different tastes and will experience different servers, cooks and so on.

Even the bread at Tony's was memorable (or more like a joke) for us. STone cold out of the refrig, just as was the butter and spaghetti dipping sauce. :sad2: :confused3
I ca buy much better bread from the Publix supermarket bakery.
Tony's is a very lazy kitchen was my impression. I would LOVE to see Chef Ramsey in that kitchen. :lmao:

Garden Grill...or any family style restaurant. There aren't many (or any) choices, the food was bad, and the server there was awful. DH talked to the manager, and she gave us our DDP credit back. And we went to Kona Cafe for breakfast (I tried to get a few character meals, but nothing was available). Kona Cafe isn't worth using DDP credits because it isn't very pricey, but it was delicious!
