Hey all...

we are going from Aug 12 thru Aug 19th Sat thru Sat and I would like advice on water parks...

first off I am thinking TL but what does everyone else say? My girls are 6 8 and 9

what day of our week would you suggest we go?? Earlier in the week? Weekend probably not right??

I really need to get on the schedule to do ADR's for our trip...I am so behind!!

Thanks for any help :sunny:

hi
mondays and tuesdays are historically the best days for water parks. :sunny:

I never bother with any guides. I plan our trip around where we want and the only influence on our parks is EMH's. We don't go to a park in the am that has EMH for the evening. No matter what day we arrive, we do DTD that day and alittle of MK. We have AP's mind you, so popping into a park for a short visit doesn't bother us. We do a different park from an am visit to a pm visit and in our 10-12 day stay, usually the 3rd day is an off day, no parks. We do the water park, we like TL, and do the shopping excursion also that day. Then we have another 3-4 days of parks and another down day of DTD, Yachtmans Steakhouse, or HDD, movies or water park and then a final day at the MK before packing up. Crowds, well there will always be crowds at WDW and no guide is going to make me pick one park over another, you just got to go yourself and if its too crowded for us, we jump to another park, whether its am or pm. There is so much to see and do and following someone elses agenda or some guide book from past experiences really doesn't help for someone thats there right now.

Plan a day early in your trip, because you may just find you want to go again later in your trip.

We love TL.

We usually plan to be their earlier in the day than later, especially in the summer due to the afternoon showers. The day depends on if and when we have a late night before, usually for EMH. If we are up late, a water park the next day works well because we can sleep in a little later (just a little!). We get to the WPs around 10 AM when we normally get to MK/EP/MGM before opening. We usually have a rental car so we always drive to the WPs which saves bus waiting time!

thanks!

I am thinking Sunday morning will be good and that is our first full day at WDW because I am expecting the water park to take A LOT of energy with three little ones in the August sun and heat!!! :sunny:

Thanks for the advice!

our new-2 mo old computer crashed...our last computer crashed before Christmas so we are having PC problems at our house!!

Having to check the Dis at work today!! which normally I do not do!!

thanks again

Go when they first open on a week day. You'll be sure to get in (they can close when they get too full) and will miss afternoon thunderstorms.

However, in August, the water parks will be mobbed all day.

I would go on a weekday instead of a weekend, even with kids off for the summers weekdays are always less crowded, definately go early. The new water coasters are great at TL although they are a bit of a walk from the rest of the slides. If you have real thrill seekers though BB is definately the place to go. Also make sure you stake out your chairs first, so you can have shade later in the day. If you arrive when the park opens, I normally leave by about 3, you miss the afternoon shower and you have had time to do everything at least once and your favorites a few times.
