We are going to Paris for ten nights from the 1st of July this year and plan to do 3 days in DLP what days of the week do you recommend for the lowest crowds if that is possible I am assuming mid week

Avoid the weekends at DLP. Also remember that certain places in Paris are closed one or two days a week, so maybe take that into consideration too (like most museums are closed either Monday or Tuesday, most shops are closed Sunday).

I'd agree with Renate Even Fridays can be busy and weekends are what you would expect.
