What day of the week did you get married on?

We are getting married on Tuesday, January 4th. We didn't do the 3rd as it is my FIL b-day and I like the number 4. We will be arriving in Disney on the 27th so I will have time to get the marriage license.

The date was more important to us than the day. We wanted November 1, 2012 no matter what day of the week it was. It just so happens that it is a Thursday.

Originally we got married on April 13, 1991 which was a Saturday. For our VR (and our 20th anniversary) we're doing it on the same date (4/13/2011) which is a Wednesday.

And almost 20 years later I still remember that we met on a Saturday (9/1990) and got engaged on a Thursday (Thanksgiving day 1990).

We're getting married on a Monday (March 28, 2011) because ADH was already booked on Sunday.

We are getting married on a Tuesday: June 21, 2011. DF picked the date; he figured since it's the first day of summer, neither of us will forget our anniversary date.

Plus, we had our first date on a Thursday, got engaged on a Wednesday, so we figured we'd keep with the working backwards trend and get married on a Tuesday.

We got married 10/29/10. We were originally going to do 10/28/10, which was a Thursday for the lower minimum, but then they did away with that during 2010. Plus our guests, mostly teachers like us, didn't want to miss all that time away from work, so we opted for the the Friday. We wanted it the Friday before NJ Teacher's Convention, and it just so happens that was near Halloween, which is DH's favorite!

Were hoping to get married on Monday June 18th, 2012, as this will be our 8 year anniversary together

And also of course the traveling time, as We wanted to allow our guests to come down on the wednesday thursday or friday before and enjoy WDW and fly back whenever they wanted to the week after. We plan on booking a two bed villa for Wed/Thursday- Sunday to split it with our wedding party, so we can all stay together have fun etc. Then the night before the wedding DF will stay at the GF with a few of the Husbands of my bridesmaids and then Me and my girls will stay at GF room (that eventually me and DF will stay in the night of the wedding). Ahhh complicated but it works out (well hopefully it does!!)

We picked it for several reasons including wanting the extra time before the wedding to not feel rushed, we are arriving the Sunday before. We also wanted our guests to have the weekend to enjoy the parks. I have a park ticket to give to every guest so we are all going to enjoy the parks the day after the wedding.

what a great idea for a gift!! park ticket for everyone!! I wish I didn't have so many guests because I would do this!! As with my 60-70 guests that would cost a FORTUNE!!!

Thank you!!! I have to admit that I didn't actually purchase the tickets.

I sang in the Candlelight Processional last year and my reward was 1 guest ticket per show, but singing on Christmas day gives you 2 per show (I did all 3 shows). I ended up with 20 tickets and I am having 20 guests It worked out perfectly, plus the tickets expire at the end of December so I have to use them and what better way then to give them to our wedding guests.
