I know the menu changes on different days and wondered if anyone had the schedule of the meals here.:surfweb: All the meals we have had were great but wondered what the difference was. Thank you:flower3:

We just walked up on a Sunday afternoon at 4:30 and were seated within a
1/2 hour. :thumbsup2

The menu does change somewhat everyday. I searched 'Boma rotation', and this is what came up.

I think Sunday is a random menu, but I'm not sure. I've only been to Boma for the Tue/Fri menu and the Mon/Thu menu, the Tue/Fri one is better IMO, though I am going to try the Wed/Sat menu if at all possible my next trip.

i just looked back to some of the original posts and I think it is Chefs Special sunday...whatever that is... We have eaten there on Sundays in the past and I remember that there was always a salmon dish, chicken, prime rib, pap and sheba and I think Bobotie if that was a ground lamb dish:confused3 . I don't remember a seafood special dish. Does anyone know what that is? I also don't remember a pork dish or ribs. Anyone have any memories on Sundays menu?Thank you:)

Is Boma good? We were thinking about eating there this summer, but I'm afraid that I won't like it much. (And it will be my 35th birthday dinner)

We love it but that is a personal decision. Why not try it on another day(when it isn't your birthday). The food is a spiced more than "regular" food so if your not sure please go but maybe pick another day:)

It all looks sooooo good, I can't wait to eat there!! It was the first ADR i made on our last trip, and I ended up cancelling because we wanted to stay in the park that night- On Halloween, we're going for sure before MNSSHP!!

Thanks for this info, I had no idea that the menu changed at this restuarant.
The Tues/Fri looks really good and that is one of the days I had planned anyway!

That rotation is very, very old. I think it is from 2002? (I know it was posted in 2004, but the menu was older than that.) We went to Boma in 2005 and they told me they no longer follow that menu, so please do not plan a visit based on those listings.

We just went to Boma about 2 weeks ago and they do still follow the rotation listed above. On our last 3 trips we have tried each rotation and all of them are really good. Our favorite is probably Tues/Fri because of the soups and african flank steak. I really liked Wed/Sat for the ribs which are AWESOME but very sticky and messy. And there is so much other wonderful stuff. It wont disappoint.

We have dined at Bomas seven times and always on a Saturday night, until our last visit which was on a Sunday. Until then, I had not realized there was a rotation. Imagine my disappointment when I found that my favorite ribs were not served on Sundays. I mentioned my disappointment to our server and a few minutes later he returned to say that he spoke with the Chef who said if we call ahead before our next 'non Saturday' visit, he will insure that we have ribs that night.

I know they will prepare special dishes if they are notified in advance but I only thought that was where allergies were involved. I will certainly take them up on the offer when the occasion arises.

This is why Boma is our favorite restaurant.

Cool!

I wonder if it would be possible to have the waiter or chef surprise SO with some fried Oreos at our arrival dinner there in May for our anniversary? Oh, well, even if it's not possible, I know I'll still love it!

On my last visit, I was talking with the server, and was informed that higher ups put a stop to that. The server said they were told some excuse about trans fats, and how its not healthly. I asked if there was more to the story, and the server just smiled.
