We are planning on arriving on 5/3, which is a Tuesday. DH doesn't like to fly on Sunday or Monday, and we're using ff miles, and it requires a Saturday stay. The other day he's agreed to is a Friday, because he doesn't want to use any more vacation time than he has to. If we arrive on Friday, we'll fly home the following Friday, then DH will have the weekend off too.

Does it really make a difference? We're going in May if that affects anything. I know nothing about flying, and I don't get the whole Saturday stay thing anyway....

Thanks! Steph

We usually like to come in on a Thurs or Fri, and stay until the following Saturday. I don't think it really makes a difference, I think its a personal preference. We like to come home on a Saturday though, to have Sunday as a rest day and get caught up on laundry before heading back to work on Monday!!!

Have fun planning!!!

I like to travel on Saturdays, because they are the most crowded in the parks, and I'd like to avoid crowds. So I arrive on Saturday and maybe eat dinner out but not go to the parks, and the same thing the following saturday, breakfast, maybe a dip in the pool and then to the airport.

We're arriving on a Tuesday, thinking most people would not be arriving on a Tuesday, trying to ensure a swift checkin. Of course, I think a lot of people will be checking out on Tuesday, since Memorial Day weekend will be ending. We'll just do our best! :)

We ususally like to arrive Friday or Saturday. We are arriving Friday this year because the airfare was cheaper than Saturday.

Usually we arrive on a Tuesday but last trip we came in on a Monday because of our schedules. The airport was pretty busy, so I'm not sure I'll do that again.

5/3 is a Monday and has already gone by? Which month are you going? We usually arrive on a weekday with a Saturday stayover to get cheaper flights; we will be arriving on June 25 (A Friday) next month and staying for a week - yahoo!!:Pinkbounc I wish we were arriving earlier in the week to enjoy shorter lines at the parks but we'll take what we can get.

I don't think it matter on what day you arrive. I think all the parks will be busy anyways. I think most travelers travel during the weekends and Friday. And I am assuming that Tuesday, Wenesday and Thursday would be a slow check-in. We have checked-in on different days and I think the weekends are busier that the weekdays. We pass the front desk all the time and we do see busy lines at the check-ins on Fridays and weekends.

Here's a poll done a while back on the Theme Park Attractions and Strategies forum, What day do you usually arrive on?

For hyzdufan, when we have visited during the Memorial Day period, it seems that many of the guests checked out on Monday so that by Tuesday, the crowds and resorts had really thinned out.

We're going on Tuesday, May 3, 2005.......almost a whole year to wait, but not quite! Guess I should have put the year on there, wasn't even thinking.

The busy airports are the reason DH doesn't like to fly on certain days; I've never flown, so I didn't know there was a difference, but it makes sense. Business travelers and all that.

Drogerstn--thanks for the link!

Sorry for the confusion!
