What dates are more cost effective for my future disney trip

My 21 birthday is coming in a year time and I’m starting to plan it. The idea is to do a Disney cruise for the actual date, January 2 through the 6, but I want to spend some days in the parks. Would it be more cost effective to visit the parks from the 28 of December through January 1 or January 7 through the 10?

I think January 7 to 10 would be cheaper but let me check.

A 4-day ticket, starting 12/28/2022 and good for any 4 days to 1/3/2023 will cost $544.21/ticket.
A 4-day ticket, starting 12/31/2022 and good for any 4 days to 1/6/2023 will cost $516.51/ticket.
Unfortunately, it won't let me check starting 1/1/2023 or later....

This is a one park per ticket.

Do you plan to stay on property?

Yes, we would like to stay on property. We were thinking in the deluxe category between Yacht Club and the Contemporary. The difference in ticket doesn’t seem that big, so I imagine the deciding factor would be the hotel price. Is the price worth it to experience new years eve at disney?

12/28-1/1 will be among the highest rates (if not the highest rates) of the year and there will be little to no chance of discounts - that’s extreme holiday season for sure. 1/7-1/10 will have lower rates and at least the chance of possible eventual discounts, if any are offered. Note that WDW Marathon Weekend is 1/4-1/8 in 2023 - they typically have higher rates around those dates relative to the rest of January given its popularity, but they won’t be as high as 12/28-1/1.

Considering that Christmas Eve through New Years is THE most expensive time I'd say go January 7-10 as long as you're ok with realxing first and then going to the parks.
Personally I'd rather do parks first and then cruise but you asked for the most cost effective.
