What CROCS did for me!!

Ok, you peaked my interst. I read a lot of this thread (not all of it :earseek: ) and I am wondering a few things. How well does the white wear? I am thinking of gettting a pair in the Nile (Sandels) and it only comes in White, Red, black or blue. The only one I would not do is red as I never wear that color. I might be able to get away with blue, I wear a lot of it. But I wanted something I could wear with anything.

Can't decied weather to try to order them off the internent or go out to a mall 20 miles form here that the interent says carrys them. (The Great Outdoors). There is an REI rather near me, but they didn't have them listed. I guess I could call them tmw.

Okay, I exchanged my pink Beach crocs for Black Beach Crocs--just because I'd be able to wear them with a lot more.

I LOVE THEM!

Day Two of wearing them--the only thing is I have a little blister on the side of my foot and my feet are sweating a lot, making them squeak as I walk!!! :rotfl:

Is this just me?!?!

:cool1: I travelled 65 miles to Baton Rouge for mine and DH's crocs. They are very comfortable.I bought the xs-its a little loose but ok. DH likes his. Both are in black. DD was with me but we are ordering hers she wants pink and orange. The store did not have her size in those colors. The orange is mighty cute-I'm glad DD is not at the age(11) where mother/daughter matching bothers her!! :dancer:

:sad2: I can't believe it...got my Crocs, khaki highlander, navy caymans, yellow caymans, all size 11 womens/9 mens, and my feet are absolutely wrecked. I don't blame the shoes, they fit beautifully, and feel great on the feet...I just can't walk in them! I have crappy tendons in my feet, top and bottom, and I guess they just aren't firm enough. Oh well, back to the podiatrist with me...maybe I'll sell them to a needy DISer...

BUMMMERRRR!!! I would ask your Podi about them...many around here are actually recommending them to certain patients. Sounds like your problem is different though. With my problems they help me i.e: bunions, wide feet, Plantar Fis and high arch ---UGH. So for me I was greatful for a comfortable shoe. I would be curious to know if your doctor has heard of them--Good luck in the shoe department and I would bet someone here needs some shoes, if not there is Ebay or where you bought them from.

Hmmm, Melissa I don't know. I have the beach too and haven't had any problem with them sweating at all--I thought if they were going to do that it would have happen while we were in Disney...but nope! On the web site it really only says that they don't smell because of the material...but that they had great ventalation because of the holes. :confused3
Guess yours just aren't that quiet. Do your feet sweat a lot normally? I know someone said their feet were sweating too but they also said that they had wool socks on--I'd say that might have a bit to do with it.

My girlfriend mentioned Oprah's Favorite Things program (is that right?) Where every year she has items that she highly recommends and loves--WELL, hello....has she tried the Crocs on for size yet....Maybe they should be on that show--HUH>Oprah are you out there? :rotfl2:

Are you guys getting tired of my kids yet?? I post here enough maybe I should change the photo/ Crocs by any chance :cool1:

Oh and one comment on the LIME GREEN crocs...The thought of hundreds of people wearing LIME GREEN CROCS to WDW is absolutely HYSTERICAL--OMGosh can you see it now :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well your kids are very cute but I am tired of winter in general! :) Do you have a pic of you at Disney with your crocs on?

Now that'll be a new thread Disney pics with Crocs !!!!

Well I can't start the thread until I get the darn things and I don't go until April but I'll do it a pic of my Crocs at the "World" :)
Perhaps see if Cinderella is willing to give up her glass slipper to try on a pair :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I found a small little store in town that sells Crocs. So I went looking. I like the idea of being able to try on and not rely just on the website for ordering. Well the girl working there said she just loves hers and wears them all the time. I normally wear a size 8 1/2 - 9 and have wide feet. The only pair they had in the 8-9 size were in yellow and were "floor models." However, I found that when I walked in them my big toe was pushing against the front of the shoe (you could actually see it protruding out). She suggested I try the 10-11, but they didn't have any in stock. She said they were getting more in a few days. Ok, so here is my question -

Do people find that they are wearing a size bigger than they normally do? The width was great, and when I put them on without the heel strap in place, they seemed ok. There even seemed to be some room in the heel area. But then when I walked, they seemed too small.

There is another store near me that may sell them for less than the "boutique" I was in.

Any suggestions? I'm leaving in 13 days for WDW, and really was hoping to try them out.

Thanks.

Nope! Your kids are cuties and I love the snow. Being from Dallas, Texas, we don't see a whole lot of that so I live vicariously through your picture! :flower:

From what I've read there are different "fits" b/c the shoes are made in different locations. Try the other store if you can. But the original crocs site does tell you how to stretch out the strap a little so they fit better as a suggestion.

I know I have said this a million times now but I wear mine on the big side--as a matter of fact mine are a whole size larger than I normally wear. It is a hard thing to grasp the concept of shoes that are way big on your feet, but with crocs it works!! Even if you think you are swimming in them, they will actually fit you better in the long run (I believe). I almost NEVER wear my strap with them--don't like it much. I just slip them on and go.

I wear a size 8 and the 8/9 fit me fine. I think you'll need the next bigger size. All my friends who wear a 9 and have tried mine on say they'd need the next size.

Great, Lime Green, and now the post by Ursala... I hate the UGLY shoes!! :rotfl2:

I wear an 11, not wide, just long! :rotfl: I tried on the floor models Med, and they werent bad, so when they found a pair of L (10/11) I knew they had my name on them!! Luckily they found the PINK pair, they have holes on top and on the sides of them... BUT, I did have to "stretch" that back strap a tad as I got to wearing them, also, I think if you have foot issues (like me) you might want to keep in mind what the podi. suggests - only wear them for an hour the first day, 2 hours the 2nd, build up the time...

Still they look odd here in IL, everyone :rotfl: asking me if I'm heading to the beach!! :rotfl2:

So, I broke down and bought a pair of PowerStep yesterday from the RUnner's Edge store, dh went in there for new running shoes, and they got to talking (dh has custom inserts) and he talked about this, the hand out talks about the Plantar/bonespur... so I took a shot and spent $27 hoping I can wear another pair of shoes besides the Crocs...

and when I mentioned the crocs were wonderful :rotfl2: HE just looked at me umm ok... dont think he believed me tho!! :rotfl:

Let's not get rid of the snow too fast, soon I'll be complaining its TOO HOT!!

(edited to add, Ursala was uncomfortable with her Crocs, and they just happen to be the size I wear, so I was tempted to PM her... keep my hand away from the PM... :bitelip: )

Darn, I wish my podiatrist had suggested the gradual approach to new shoes...that may have made all the difference.
Well, I decided to keep 2 of the pairs, and be a little more sensible in wearing them. The first day I got them, I was so excited I wore them for the full 8 hours on a hard cement floor. Geez, I WONDER why my feet hurt so much  . So, I'll return the banana yellow Caymans, unless someone wants them (size 11, Eeyore...tempted by another pair of UGLY shoes??? :rotfl: The strap on these seems a little longer than the others).

OMG I was out buying printer ink this evening when I decided on a whim to go into the boating store next door. Lo and behold there were CROCS. After me ordering 3 pair online and waiting for them and paying shipping they were less then 1/2 mile from my house the whole time. :rotfl:
So I did what any self respecting woman would do. i bought em and DH a pair in seablue. You people have gotten me addicted to these ugly shoes. (Actually it is the fit that I am addicted to but it is more fun to blame your guys  )

Can someone who has bought the Nile style tell me how the sizing runs, and if you think they will work for wide feet?

I have wide feet and they work great and look a little better than my beach style. I bought 2 pair one from 2 different sites because 1 site said they were back ordered but wouldn't you know they both showed up at the same time :confused3 so when contacted Crocs about exchanging them for larger size and different color they emailed me back and said if I could be patient they were going to have some out in about a month that ran in sizes and that they would fit better on length  I'll keep you updated

If anyone can't wait, Sahalie already has the flamingo (fuschia), lime green and purple Crocs for sale on their website. I ordered the lime green ones a couple days ago but they are backordered until April 14. They were $35.90 with shipping. :flower:
