I have to tell this story and I hope people will read this. I was so worried about walking at WDW becuase I have back and disc problems. I have been seeing a physical therapist and lots of exercising but was still concerned because I also have Plantar Fiscitis in my feet. Sounds bad I know and walking is often painful.

Locally we have these shoes called Crocs which pretty much single handidly saved my vacation with my very active 6 year old twins. I had only been wearing them for about a month before I went and I NEVER TOOK THEM OFF!! I was able to walk from 9am till that evening when I took them off. I couldn't believe it really but I never once had any pain in my feet nor did I feel the need to sit down. We walk so much that when I returned home after all that food I had lost 6 pounds!

Here is the link and I don't believe any athletic shoe can ever come close for me again. It is Crocs all the way!!

Thanks so much for sharing this. :flower: I'm sure many of us will benefit from it!

Myst

They sound wonderful. I'm going to look into purchasing some for my HM trip in May!

I'm looking for a good pair of shoes for our May trip. Do you wear socks with them? I know the pictures didn't show socks (and it would probably humiliate my pre-teen son :rotfl: ) but hey, After 40 I go for comfort!

Thank you so much for this site. i have never heard of these before. They are so cute!!! Think I'll have to try a pair. :cool1:

Someone was asking about these a few weeks ago. Im so glad that you posted this, Ive been trying to decide if we should buy some for our trip ;)

I have a pair & LIVE in them! :cool1:

WDW Trip Nut - In Colorado even young people are wearing them - your son will certainly appreciate that you are just ahead of the trends ;)

:cloud9: I love my Crocs :cloud9:

What are they made out of? You didn't get any blisters w/o socks? If they're comfy, I'm willing to try them out!! Has anyone seen these on sale in the NE US?

Thanks!
Jane

That is great info! We really were just talking about these a few weeks ago! Maybe you can go into specifics with us??
How do sizes work? Did you buy what size you normally wear?
Do you need socks to be more comfortable?
How flexible are they?

I have RA and am always on the look-out for a good pair of shoes ;)

Thanks again for your story :wave2:

...as a quick follow up.
I am interested in the NILE style, and wear a size 8. But usually when I buy shoes that fit "MED women's 8-9", they are too big. Do you think I could get away with a small, womens 6-7? Not that I think you know all the answers, but telling me how you normally buy the sizes will help. Thanks!

The interesting thing about Croc shoes is that they are made out of this PCCR Patened Closed Cell Resin which warms and softens to you feet through body heat and molds the shoe to your foot--its amazing!
Each shoe has a Euro Orthostic heel with built in arch and tarsal bar. Each shoe is also Anti Microbial so there is NEVER and bacteria NO MORE SMELL!! I clean mine every now and again in a cap of bleach and a bucket of water just to sanitize them.

I can't tell you enough about the benefits of having these shoes. I never got a blister which doesn't mean that can't happen but I didn't get one. Yes you can wear socks with them--I do a lot.
The sizing is on the web site but for me I wear a 9-10 shoe but I also have a wide foot so I bought the extra large. Now they have sandles which I will be buying soon. I LOVE MY CROCS!!!
The price is reasonable too.

Pumkin I think you might be able to--I think they tend to run wide. Check the website and see if you can return unworn if in fact you find you didn't get the right size. These are a different kind of shoe so I would almost say get the 8's. They also have a phone number on there where you can call too and maybe ask questions. On the site go all the way down to the bottom and you will find some answer there.

Went to Ebay and order me a pair for when we go to Disney in April. They look very comfortable. Hope they don't disappoint me.

You must post when you get back to see if our experiences are the same.

i just ordered a pair. i'm always on the lookout for comfy shoes. thanks for the tip. :)

Thanks for the thread. I have the same foot problem and have tried everything. The only thing that sort of helped were gel pads for my heels. I can''t wait to see these miracles!!!

We leave in 10 days and I have been searching high and low for a nice, comfy pair of shoes to wear! I hate wearing sneakers with socks when I'm out walking in the heat all day.

These look like they'll be perfect! I bought the cayman style directly from the website. I'll post when I get back to let everyone know how I liked them.

Thanks for the tip! :earsgirl:

i'm so excited to try these... someone recommended Dansko clogs to me, but they are sooo expensive. these are so reasonable priced! thanks for sharing!
