What CROCS did for me!!

I worked as a surgical sales rep for bariatric surgeries and I can ASSURE you, by your picture, you don't have "so much elsewhere". ;)

Keep those exercises up, my dear! Good thing your surgeon appears to really spell out your possible road ahead and how to divert in the right places to keep surgery away. Here's some pixie dust coming to you! :flower:

Such a nice thing to say--but, 100 pounds less would do my back a huge favor!! You know, I am standing next to Tigger--that must be it. Smilies still don't work :) I added this myself :flower:

Hey, all you out there, we really should let the CROCS folks know all this stuff we have been saying about them. ;) Maybe we could get a DIS member discount, hahah, at least Dchef and a few others should! I sent them an email about 4-5 days ago with a lot of questions about when the new styles/colors would be out, and have not heard back yet. A volume discount would be good, too. Like the department store Parisian has for Clarks/Dansco/Merrills- buy 8 or so and get the next pair either free or discounted by the agerage price of all the cumil. purch. of the pairs you bought. Never happen, but Ok, it's fun to dream, isn't it? Or at least they could have a poll for new colors, I would love a rainbow/tie-dye/multi color pair or 2, or 3.. Maybe if we all just email them as un-offical DIS'ers and beg for an update on the web site. Yep , sign me up for that addiction Club .
Hello, I am Athene, and I am addicted to CROCS....
as an earlier post said.

Just had to share this Croc Sighting - It was pretty hysterical
Where: Local High School Swim Meet

CROCs are big with the Swim Meet crowd. I first saw them last September at a swim meet here in Wisconsin.

I can't speak for the Payless variety but in my Crocs brand I had a blister just starting to form under the rivet after my second day of wearing them.

I have worn mine almost every day for about a week. I am starting to get a little rubbing on the top of my foot, I think from the "sloppiness" of the fit. The shoe moves around when I walk with the strap forward. It's not bad enough to worry me now, but I'm not sure I would be able to do an entire day in the parks with them on tomorrow. Luckily, I have 4 months to break them in!

I was shopping at Dillards on Saturday here in Texas, and saw them for the first time. I had all 3 kids with me so I didn't look too closely, but thought I would tell all you fans to check if you have Dillards in your area - they were on a sale rack!

100 pounds ? ? ? Well honey, you better hope CROCS makes a pair of shoes with extra weights in the sole to hold you down in high winds! ::yes::

Thanks again for sharing about CROCS. I really do love mine, with and without socks. Here's some pixie dust coming to you! :flower:

However, it wasn't so bad that it hadn't pretty much healed up overnight and they haven't bothered me since! Don't know why they would start just that one day....it's weird. Maybe they conformed better to my feet after that, I don't know. But so far I'm blister-less *knocks on wood* which is quite a feat considering I'm the blister queen! :cheer2:

I can speak for the Payless variety, and the same thing has happened to me. A blister right under where the rivet is.. but I'm going to see if it continues.

On the payless site they claim the Airwalks (croc knock-offs) actually fit big and suggest you buy one size smaller than your regular size. Do you agree?

I usually wear 8 1/2 and I ended up buying size 7 at Payless. I have been wearing them for about 4 days now (but never for a long walk, just going to the store and to the school to pick up my kids, etc.). No blisters yet, and my feet usually have trouble with new shoes. So I am pleased with them.

The payless ones were $14.99 (I think) and they have Buy One Get One Half Off going on right now.

I just bought the Airwalks, and did have to get a size smaller. I usually wear a 7-1/2 or so, and bought a 6 that fits great! Now, if I can just find the REAL crocs in my area!

I just bought some crocs today. They ARE super comfortable....but seeing as I'm normally a 7.5 choosing a size was tough.

The Mediums (8-9) just were waaaay too big. But the Small (6-7) which I purchased seems a tad too small. I absolutely can not wear the strap around my heal. I have it lifted up resting on the top of the shoe. (A stylish statement???) W/out the strap, my foot does fit perfectly in the shoe bed....but there isn't a smidge of extra length. I'm wearing them around the house now to see how they work out. I'm hopeful!!!

My other sandals are Teva's...and they are very comfortable in the arch support...but even w/ the adjustable straps, I find it hard to get them adjusted correctly across the top of my foot. Too tight, and it drives me nuts, too loose, and I get blisters. :confused3 I have a great pair of sneakers w/ orthodics for Disney....but when the temps climb into the 80's, I find sneakers get too hot. :rotfl2: Soooooo.....what's a gal to do!!

Anyone out there tell me how they made out w/ a foot that was in between sizes? Do these stretch a bit in the toe?? We leave a week from today for Disney!!!!!!! I've been so focused on trip planning, and making sure my kids have all the right clothing and footwear, I haven't tended to my own needs until now. Classic Mom syndrome.

Hope to hear from you!!!

Once you decide to keep your CROCs, you can pull the strap and it will stretch, giving you more room. Just don't stretch it too far 'cause it won't snap back!

2nd pair came in the mail today. they're the Beach version, fit great and just some notes on how they differ from my Cayman ones-

The Caymans have Crocs on the straps the Beach ones don't.

The Beach ones have stickers on the sides that say Crocs which were already falling off, the Cayman ones are not stickers and won't come off.

As far as the fit, I think both are very comfortable. I normally wear a size 8 and bought a size medium in both styles and they fit great.

Lastly the Caymans were made in the USA the beach ones were made in Canada.

Hope that helps!

I'm waiting for the UPS guy to bring mine now, I ordered from pedestrianshops.com and they are scheduled for delivery today. Why does he always have to my house last! :confused3

The salesman at the store where I bought mine did this when I told him I would wear them with the strap around the back of my foot. This way your toe isn't so far forward.

My Beach ones (made in Canada also) don't have stickers. The logo is sort of embossed in the plastic and painted white. I wonder which is the norm?

My Beach model are made in China, have the embossed plastic logo and say "Crocs" on the strap!

Yes, on the whole, I'd have to agree. I usually wear a 9 1/2 and the 8-9 fits perfectly :)

You guys have convinced me that I need to get some too. The website says the caymans ones are sold out...anyone know where else I can get them?
