In preparation for our upcoming family trip to the world...I had both of my knees replaced!!:rotfl:
I'm hoping this does the trick....I want to RUN around WDW next june with my family and my grandchildren...
Anyone else doing anything drastic for a trip to the world?

Ok, I can't top that but everyone I know thinks I'm crazy enough to be going back AGAIN anyways. :lmao:

I had a rotator cuff repair and had to push myself through therapy so that I could raise my arms above my head on the coasters and splash mtn. By the way I DID IT!!!!

OK, this is probably too much information but: I had the hair plucked out of my ears.

I bought a new bathing suit. I suffered more trauma that the rest of you combined.:lmao:

Lost 120 pounds. Okay so the first year I was only down 20 but the second year I was down the total 120 pounds.

I have been working out for at least 1.5 hour everyday just so i can stuff my face at food and wine festival in a couple of weeks guilt free ;)

I timed my Lasik surgery so I would be all healed to swim at WDW. :)

Hahaha...I didn't even think of this before you said that, but I had been considering LASIK for a couple of years and finally took the plunge last July. A big part of me deciding to do it then rather than wait a little longer is that I was going back to Disney for the first time in nine years last August, and I couldn't stand the thought of having to wear my glasses in the hot summer sun, not being able to wear real sunglasses, and worrying about them falling off on roller coasters! (The last time I went before that I used to wear contacts, but the older I got the more contacts irritated me and I stopped wearing them.). So in reality, Disney wasn't the REASON I got LASIK, but it was a deciding factor in when to do it!

Let me tell you....as I am doing the therapy on my new knees I just concentrate on my Disney trip! Several years ago we made a CD of the music of the world that we love. I play that CD and pretend I'm in a different part of the world. I try to close my eyes and remember all the sounds as I think of where I am in the world, Main street, Fantasy land, the monorail, my favorite resturants......anything to make me get up and running again!!!:cheer2:

I had Gastric bypass lol J/k But our last trip I weighed over 250 and the pictures of me showed all the weight. So I did have gastric bypass. And a huge ( no pun intended) part of it had to do with Disney Trips!! So a year later and 105 pounds lighter we are planning another trip for next year!!

A big :thumbsup2 for the DISer's loosing weight!

Those are very IMPRESSIVE accomplishments. It sure is easy to GAIN weight but no so much loosing it. :scared1::)

Many years ago I knew a guy who at one point was up to 180 pounds of weight loss. He was a BIG guy. At the time I weighed 180 pounds so he lost one of me. :rotfl: He kept on loosing after he hit 180 but I don't know what he ended up loosing.

I wish I still weighed 180 pounds. Course all of the extra weight is all muscle!

My nose! My nose! It is getting longer! ;)

Later,
Dan
