Look, I'm sorry I even asked. I just don't want this to drag on and won't ever post anything like this ever again. My mom got irritated at me for posting it and I don't want to cause any drama. Just stop posting on this thread and let it die.
I don't like causing drama and have never been one to start it. I'm fine now, drove to school this morning with no problems so can we just move on???
No offenese, but just because you drove this morning and was fine, doesn't mean that there isn't anything wrong. The incident you explained could have happened had you been driving, walking, doing homework, etc. It probably had nothing to do with you driving. To be on the safe side, you should at least mention it to a medical professional to make sure there isn't anything more serious going on.
A little over 10 years ago, my DH (boyfriend at the time) and I were in the car. He was driving. All of sudden he started to feel faint and thought he was going to pass out. I had to take the wheel from him and try to keep the car under control until he could get pulled over and stop. At the time, we chalked it up to his blood sugar dropping. We thought that this was an isolated incident and didnt' think anything else of it. On another occassion, he noticed how short of breath he got while playing ball with some friends. We laughed it off and said he was just out of shape. Again, we didn't think anything of it.
Several months later, he had a physical at this work. They had a habit of doing chest x-rays on the smokers that worked there and for some reason, even though he has never smoked, they put him n the x-ray group. That x-ray saved his life. They found a grapefruit sized anueryism on his aorta. Thankfully they were able to do surgery and he is fine now. He is extremely lucky that it was caught through the x-ray. He could have very easily died at any moment.
He did have warning signs that we missed and chalked up to isolated incidents and self diagnosed. Who would have ever guessed that an otherwise healthy 27 year old would have an aneurysim of that size?
What happened to you could have been an isolated incident due to your blood sugar being low or a sudden change in your blood pressure, but there could also be a much more serious underlying cause. Its worth checking out.
