We just found out that in addition to being gluten-free, my 6 year old also has peanut, egg and milk allergies. We plan to eat in the park a bit but we'll have to bring food in for her.

What is considered a "soft sided" cooler? Obviously the rock hard plastic ones are a no-go, but what about a cooler that is fabric outside but has a flimsy plastic removable inner?

I think they are referring to any of the ones that have a fabric covering, even though they have that hard, flimsy shell on the inside.

This is exactly the type we use. We also bring a back pack with dry snacks for my daughter with food allergies.

I too have a child with food allergies, and I have brought in a soft sided cooler that is larger than 6-pack size. It probably can hold 8-10 cans of soda, so it worked well for us. It has a large strap, and I hung it off of my stroller.

Now that my kids are out of strollers, I keep it in my backpack.

Don't worry. As long as you are not bringing a cooler with wheels that you push behind you, you should probably be fine. You need to feed your child. Bring what you need to do that. :):wizard:

my new backpack says it holds 20 cans i dont think it dose. Its not bigger then many coolers ive seen. we will have 2 pepsies a day and two waters pluse our new spray mist fan. The top will hold the other stuff we need.
Ive seen much bigger coolers then six pack in the park before

The six pack measurement I used, was what was given to me by Guest Relations, for a soft sided cooler with a plastic insert. (Wasn't that the OP's question?) Granted, it was in 2005, when I first inquired, because of my daughters food allergies. I have always followed this rule, and never had a worry going through security. In my experience, guests with larger coolers (not 2-3 cans larger, but "larger" coolers),and not "cooler backpacks", but hand held coolers, have been asked to store them in a locker.

Heck, I had a dad pulling a wagon in front of me, in Carsland, last Saturday. A wagon carrying a toddler, 2 sleeping bags, a cooler. and a Round Table Pizza. I guess it made it through security, because the wagon was decorated to look like Lightning McQueen.

It's Disneyland...YMMV.......pixiedust:

omg ive always been told no to the wagon things lol wonder how come dl let it in wierdness
