It is tan right now and I want to redo her room prior to her starting high school this fall.
Any suggestions on a color? She looking at blue or yellow.

Any ideas on what should be in her room? Lots of shelves, etc?

I'm thinking of painting my room a darker purple now.. it has big windows and skylights and the white walls can get a little blinding.
But that's just my room.. I think blue and yellow sound nice. I would definitely go for lots of shelves and storage - that's the mistake we made with my room, and now it's awfully cluttered with videotapes and clothes that have no place to be put away.

Right now my room is turquiose. But what makes it sooooooooo cool is that we sponged on a really light blue(it looks white)and it has this really cool effect. Its kinda hard to describe but everyone's loves it.
On HGTV I saw this girl paint her room turquiose and then sponged on a silver and it looked great!!
Thats an idea. I think that you should do sponging or ragging or something to that effect. (they have books at Home Depot and/or Lowe's that show how to do those techinques and how they look)

Is the room big or small? Because if it's a small room then painting it a dark color will make it look even smaller. I was gonna paint my walls blue and put white clouds on them, but now I want a light color instead. Definitely have lots of shelves and storage! :)

I think yellow sounds great. How about a pastel yellow? You could sponge it onto the walls to give a softer effect. Light colours make a room look bigger and sunnier. How about using some of those canvas shelve things that hang from the ceiling for storage? These would tie in with the mood of the room. If you wanted, you could use glass paint to paint a bright design onto the window. If you stained the floor white or something then the design would be cast onto the floor by the sunlight. Just an idea! Sorry-I'm getting carried away!! I love interior design, you see. :D
