and what color are your cabinets? Im thinking of getting the Giallo Ornamental...anyone have this? with white cabinets...thanks!

Hi! Too funny! We just chose the same granite yesterday for our Master Bath. I am going to use Dove White cabinets with a cocoa glaze.
Our kitchen granite is Crema Persa Green, with maple cabinets.:)

IMPO, I think ANY granite works with white, as long as it works with the FLOORS.

Ours is called Creme de Bordeaux. It's considered a veined granite so no 2 pieces look alike. When I was went to the stone yard, I saw a huge piece and told the guy i wished that I could have the bottom portion and he cut it for me! It's 6 X 4 for our kitchen island. Even on that one large slab, the granite was very different from one area to another. We have Brazilian cherry wooden counter tops.
My brother and DSIL did all of their counter tops in Creme de Bordeaux and it looks 100% different from our island.

I forgot what the consistent colored granite is called.

I have a beuatiful tan/gold granite. It reminds me of sand dunes. (of course, I can't remember the name of it!) We have a light beige tile backsplash. Good ol' oak cabinets and oak hardwood flooring.

We seriously considered that granite. It is beautiful! I bet it looks fantastic with cherry cabinets!

Our cabinets are apple green. The counter tops are Brazilian cherry. We love it with the granite!

I don't have granite, but hopefully we will before too long. I want a medium/dark charcoal. My cabinets are currently a medium brown stain, but I want to paint them white.

We have two different colors of granite. On the main countertops around the kitchen we have a light cream color with mainly black lines running through it and some tan colored patches. I picked out the slab because it had so many different markings, but I think most people actually go for more uniform pieces.

Then on our center island we have black granite. I agree with the PP who said black shows all the dust! The cream granite never looks dirty but the black always looks streaked, I end up wiping it down every time I walk past it!

Our cabinets are light maple with a chocolate glaze.

omgoodness, that sounds incredible! We saw two slabs of that granite and like you said, each was totally different. They both were beautiful!

Some kind of black and I HATE it! It shows every speck of dust! If we weren't planning on moving in 2-3 years I would change it in a heartbeat! (it was in the house when we bought it)
