When you turn in your voucher, what color is the card/pass/whatever they give to you?

And what color is the card you receive when they send the magic bands?

The new AP are yellow with a Mickey head in an orange circle in the center. I haven't opened our new AP MB boxes yet so I'm not sure if the discount card has changed as well (my current one is yellow with Cinderella's Castle on it).

We recently purchased our AP's and will activate them during our November trip (on November 5th :) ). What do we get when we complete this process at Guest Relations/Services. FYI we'll be doing this at the MK.

Thanks,

Doug :goofy:

Bring your exchange certificate (if you have one), photo ID, and the card used to purchase them. We've never received an exchange certificate (I think that's because we bought our initial AP in person) and just need to show ID and the credit card.

We have all that. We paid for the AP's with our Disney vacation account. What will we get when we activate?

there is only 1 card as of oct 2015 and it's the AP card you get when you turn in your voucher. You use it for everything, including discounts and there will not be a card in the box anymore. the passholder bands only come with the date slider now.

Thanks, @Accident, that's good to know! I never used the discount card but always had it with me just in case!

We renewed my son's AP this month and the cm recycled his old pass. I hope that doesn't cause any discount issues in 2017?

There have been a few people saying they didn't get cards or they were told that it would be looked up on their magic band. The Point of Sale CMs to my knowledge have not been trained or don't even have a way to do that. put the band in your pocket and stop by a ticket booth saying you forgot your card and need a replacement and they will give you one. It's no charge for a new ap card.

And to add to this discussion, if you plan on upgrading a ticket make sure the CM inputs the correct expiry date.
I just upgraded yesterday and my ticket was set to expire in 2014 - the date my CAA outlet received the tickets. This is the second time this has happened to me and it's very inconvenient to waste time in guest services burning premium morning EMH during a busy weekend.

I was also given a yellow plastic ticket/discount card as well.

Got my new AP in early Sept. I made sure they gave me the yellow discount card. I've had too many instances where I wasn't able to get the AP discount because I didn't have that card!
Better safe than sorry. I now carry it all the time.

That card yellow card IS your AP. It works at the turnstiles and the FP checkpoints.

My AP is on my MB. I've actually had to practically beg for that yellow card! About 18 months ago, I was told, several times by different CMs, that I didn't need the card! And I sure found out differently at the WoD store in DS!! So I specifically asked for it in Sept!! The CMs response was 'Sure, no problem'.

I just want to know because some of our dining choices give a 10% DVC discount and some give a 20% AP discount.

I am going to color code our schedule so I know which card to show. Blue for DVC and yellow (using orange) for AP.

You can also use the app I use... MousePerks+ It will show you wherever you are by color code if you get a discount and which flavor you need...AP, DVC, Disney Visa, Tables in Wonderland.
