What clocks do people use while booking.

Well, a few hours went by since I saw that room that I lost. I checked again and I saw the room and grabbed it.

I now have the whole week I wanted.

Have you ever called in to see if the waitlists have matched during this time? They do not seem to disappear anymore so you might have had matches without even knowing it. If people are walking it's perfectly conceivable that you could have a match to the waitlist waiting to be finalized and there's another room that a person has released from their walk.

I talked to chat and they said, yes, as soon as a room comes up it's grabbed by the computer. I wish I could be sure. Why does it have to be finalized?

The computer system only grabs and holds the room. It's a manual process for a CM to book it. Why I can't say for certain other than they haven't put the time into doing it a different way. The CM will match the request and book it. If you've set it up to replace a room then they will cancel it and book with points you used for it originally.

So, my question was if you actually confirmed that the waitlist had matched, not about how the waitlist functions to match a room. You would have had to ask the CM about it specifically and they would have had to go into your account to see if it had or not. You may very well have had matches to the waitlist and not know it. I doubt chat looked unless you asked them to.

So maybe I jumped the gun and gone crazy checking every 8 1/2 seconds, but knowing early Dec is very busy for DVC and the number of standard studios is very limited, I wasn't going to take a chance.

In years past, for DH and I would book at BLT easy and then at 7 months hope for a few days at BCV. I didn't stalk the site at all, but the difference was, I already had a good room, if I got a few days at BCV, that would have been a bonus.

I was guessing they wouldn't and that calling MS would have been necessary. Chat can't book a room as I understand it (in general I never found they could help me with anything I needed so I stopped even trying them). Next time though if you are seeing a room and not getting it and you've had a waitlist I'd call and check to see if the waitlist had matched. It was so nice when we had a few months that the waitlist would actually disappear if it had matched but that went away and is back to the looking like it's still looking even though it's matched. Maybe with the updates they're working on it will change back. MS can actually see if the waitlist has matched and can get it finalized for you.

First l I know early Dec is very busy and there are limited standard views studio at BLT.

This morning I tried to book Dec 1 to 8 2019. Days were there. I had my finger on the continue button, as soon as the clock on my laptop turned from 7:59 - 8:00, I hit the button. I got no long available. I refreshed and the room is gone for Dec 1.

Am I missing something?

Hi. When you say you had your finger on the "continue button", where exactly can I get up to before I have to wait to continue?
