We're going to disney in September with my 8 year old nephew. I wanted to buy him a 7 day ticket with park hooper options but the only one they sell at the disney store has minnie mouse on it :earboy2: I really don't want minnie on his ticket- My annual pass has minnie and my BF has mickey. I called disney and they couldn't tell me who was on this ticket if I purchased it in advance thru them. Has anyone recently bought this type of ticket in advance from disney and what character was on it?? :grouphug:

We recently got tickets through Ticketmania.com, and our DD's ticket has Cinderellabration on it. We also have Soarin' and Lights, Camera, Motor stunt show on our Adult tickets.

I think Disney can't tell you what will be on the ticket because they print the tickets either on your hotel key (in which case they will all look the same) or from a random assortment of images. These cards are all the same, and don't get encoded with the type of pass (Adult, Child, number of days, etc) until they are printed. Thus, they can't say what the machine will spit out when they print the cards. The current selection appears to be 50th anniversary celebration attractions rather than the classic characters, etc.

Mur!

adult and childrens tickets are printed on the same card supply. Ticket assignment is random if they do have the characters still. Mickey, Donald, Goofey, Minnie were the options. We have seasonal passes so we had ours before 50th (but it was printed on the same cards as day tickets and multiday tickets).

We asked before we got our AP's and were told its random and they won't guarantee characters.

FYI: We got our AP's in March and DD and I got Donald and DH got Goofy.

While they say it is random, for some reason I always get Minnie. DW on the other hand will usually rotate between the other characters except for Minnie.

similar happens to us (but no minnie)--but it is just luck of the printing. Much to my daughter's dismay :(.

There aren't any characters at the moment on the tickets. The pictures are of Soarin', Lights Motor Action, Cinderellabration, and Everest behind the Tree of Life.

It may change after the 50th celebration is over.

My kids got a real kick when DH got Cinderellabration for his ticket. They said that Daddy got the girlie ticket... it's especially funny since he got Minnie last year. :rotfl:

I have a girlfriend who used to work in City Hall GR at MK. And she said there were some guests who would be quite "heated' if they got the wrong character on their ticket. They would come and complain to her!

On more than one occasion, she had to print numerous tickets and void the tickets w/ the "wrong" character on them.

I could possibly understand a child having a meltdown because their ticket doesn't have their beloved character on it, but these were ALL ADULT tickets! :rotfl:

To each his own!

Our tickets, which were also our hotel keys, had Tinkerbelle on them.

If you have booked a package, your ticket will be whatever the hotel key is and they will all match. If you pre-purchase/purchase your tickets seperately what comes up will be random. The computer will make each ticket as different as possible. I have Mickey, DH has Donald, and DS4 has Goofy.

I can understand a small boy not wanting Minnie (my boys wouldn't be happy), but you just can't guarantee what you'll get. If you know that the Disney Store only has Minnie, I'd just take my chances with Disney itself. You might still get Mickey, but you have a better chance of getting something else, especially if what a previous poster said about all the 50th celebration themes being true.

We picked up our APs at the ticket center at MK. The CM was nice enough to ask my DS which charcter he wanted. Wanted Mickey, got Mickey. He thought his ticket was very special.

I finally get a year without Minnie, but I have a feeling that I know which one I will get now... ;)
