What Cell Phones WORK at WDW?

When I had AT&T it would work everywhere except in the hotel rooms. Now I have Nextel and it works everywhere.

My Cingular phone works well in most spots. I always make sure the ringer is off, though, so I don't bother people when I'm in the attractions.

I have Sprint. The only problem I have ever had was in the POR, Bayou rooms. I had to set the phone on the TV armoire with the antenna extended to keep from roaming. Had no trouble like that in the Mansions. Also no trouble at BCV, Old Key West or AKL, even in Boma.

Also excellent signal in all of Disneyland and the hotels.

I have T-Mobile and used it all over Disney property with no problems.

Can I ask what kind of phone you were using with T-Mobile? We have T-Mobile and for the most part they work at WDW, but there are places I had trouble. I am wondering if the phones make any difference at all. I wasn't able to use T-Mobile at the Poly at all and had to step out on the balcony at Beach Club Villas to get a signal. There were a few dead spots in the parks.

I work for T-Mobile and have been using our service for years (even before we changed our name to T-Mobile). It works great and I even use our wireless data service for my laptop so I don't have to connect via landline or pay Disney for data access.

hard to say.. probably att look at ur provider plan before going. and see coverage areas.

T-mobile in Florida as well. Works just fine. I can even text message in parts of Florida where nothing else works.

Skipping to the end... I have t-mobil and never had an issue (knock wood)..

I have TMobile, as well. The only place I've ever had a problem was in some areas of Fort Wilderness. I had no signal in the lobby building, but a couple of bars on its porch; no signal in the RV, but a couple of bars at the end of the pad. But I've used the same phone (a Nokia) in all four parks, Downtown Disney, and at the Grand Floridian, the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the All-Star Music with no problem at all.

I use Sprint. When I was at WDW 6/27 - 7/4, it worked fine in the hotel, and when outside in the parks. I had a hard time getting any kind of signal in the ride buildings. I had to turn off the "automatic analog roam" feature because it was using up the battery too quickly.

Just an FYI for everyone who's reading - Virgin Mobile operates on the Sprint network. So if Virgin Mobile gets good reception, Sprint should too, and vice versa. (Depending on your phone. ;) )

The last time I used a cell phone I had Verizon, and reception wasn't a problem, but making the call was a pain! I had to dial and hangup 3x each time I wanted to make a phone call!!!! It was prepay - maybe that had something to do with it.

I now have Sprint and am glad to hear that people haven't had problems! :)

My husband and I have At&t phones and they worked fine...No Problems...in ALL of the parks. Now, ask me if I can use them in or around the Superdome and that is another thread and post altogether...

You made an excellent point. If you have a great service provider and a lousy phone, then you're going to have problems. I use T-Mobile as well. I have a Samsung X105 and my wife has a Samsung E105.

We just got back from WDW and found that our phones worked everywhere! No dead spots at all. We even used the free WAP browser to check www.pocketdisney.com and keep up to date on WDW times and schedules!

I used Cingular at the All Star Sports and Hard Rock Hotel and it worked fine both places. I didn't try it in the parks.
