I had a twitch yesterday next to my left shoulder blade. Today, it's still there & I have a twitch in my right thumb. What causes these & can I do anything to make them stop? They're driving me CRAZY!!!!

Sometimes it's stress, sometimes it's muscle inflammation,
it could be a pinch in your nerve...

IMO~I would suggest a doctor if it is painful in any way.

maybe you just need a massage...

;)

Oh, but it's REALLY fun when they get in your eyelids! Sometimes it's just fatique. Been getting enough sleep lately? Tigger's probably right about the pain. Otherwise, they usually just go away on their own. Granted some of them do take their sweet time.

I always get an eye twitch, it's STRESS! LOL!

I get them all the time - in all kinds of dumb places.

My neurologist said they're nothing to be concerned with. They're more of an annoyance than anything else. He said sometimes it's fatigue and sometimes it just happens for no reason at all, and the only thing you can do about them really is wait.;) Isn't that reassuring?:p

With me an eye twitch is definitely stress. It twitched waaaaaaaaaay too much when I worked at the hospital. Eventually, it happened to my boss, too! Haven't had a problem with it since I quit that job 2 years ago.

The eye twitch is the one I'm most familiar with. You always wonder if anyone else can see it too....

Sorry - no help here just wanted to say hi to you and Annabelle

I get them when I'm really stressed. My fave was in my lip, it made my look like Elvis ;) Very embarassing! It came to a point where I didn't even realize it anymore...

Among the main causes are stress, fatigue, and too much caffiene and/or sugar.

Oh, those annoying eyelid twitches are among the most common. I HATE those!

women who twitch are sexy

 Pop Daddy, you've made my night :cloud9:

Maybe it is due to stress, I've had a terrible time posting on the DIS today, keep getting an error message blah, blah, blah.

That's cause the guys think they're winking at them, when it's really just an eye twitch.

A massage would be nice.::yes:: Also, eating a banana might help. Some twitches are caused by a lack of potassium. Some are caused by just regular muscle spasms. Applying a little bit of pressure might help.

I have an eye twitch when I get really stressed. Drives me batty.

browneyes, no massage but I did have the most wonderful facial today, but stressed the whole time, DH & DS were leaving to go camping, I was worried that I hadn't packed enough for DS. AND the whole time I was there, that thumb was spazzing out.

LOL, was your thumb trying to hitch a ride to the campsite?;)
