What car companies are on site

Can you please tell me which car companies are on site. THe MCO webpage as well as Mousesavers, states Thrifty is on site but I see posting that you take a shuttle. I would rather just walk to our rental car. We rented with National last two times.

The easiest car rental place to walk to is the National/Alamo desk in the Dolphin hotel. The walk from DTD over to some of the car rental places in DTD Hotels isn't bad - Avis and Dollar are the closest.

Are you asking about "on site" at WDW or the airport?

If you are talking airport it is Alamo - National - Budget - L & M - Avis

If you are talking at Disney on property it is Alamo at the above location or at the Car Care Center near the Poly.

There are also a few other companies within the area on Hotel Plaza BLVD.

Thrifty is a newcommer to the terminal; up until early 2009, Thrifty had a facility just off airport property, but they moved into the terminal recently. This was good news from me, since I rent from Thrifty sometimes; I never found it terribly strenuous to take the 5-minute shuttle to the Thrifty facility, but it'll be even better to be able to just walk accross the street to the MCO garage to pick up my car.

Thanks for the information. Sorry, I did mean at the airport. We are going the third week in September and Thrifty has the best rates currently. My wife and I will have our first getaway since both kids are in university. We won't even do Disney!!
