.....and are going to MMVCP?? And if you have been at that time of year before, is it dark around 6pm??:)

We are going to WDW in December...arriving 11/29 - 12/10. We will be attending the MVMCP on 12/08.

DH and I honeymooned around that exact time 9 years ago...so from what I can remember I think it is dark around 6pm. Not 100% sure though.

HeHeHe....I was kind of hinting that it will be a realllllllly looooooong time until out next vacation in July 2010. We got back from the world only 2 weeks ago. So Dh says 'well maybe we could go someplace for my b-day.....that's in December. I say that if I book by Saturday we could have free dining again. He didn't say no......cross your fingers.

We are going too coming from Edmonton leaving Nov 30 - Dec 10th. ASMo We were there last year at the same time we noticed it was dark by 7pm for sure.

Our party of 8 will be there on the 4th of December. It is our second trip in a row for December. We had a great time at MVMCP last year.

My family and I are going from Dec 12 - Dec 22, however were not attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. As for the time it usually gets dark I would say it's between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

Oh, I wish I could say I was going during the Holiday season. I soooooo want to see Disney decorated for Christmas. But, I will have to make this a future plan. To all of you who are going, Have a Great Time!!:thumbsup2

We are there from Dec 19- Jan 2. We will be the crazy  canucks in the crowds at MK on Dec 25th with an early breakfast at the Crystal Palace.

I figure if we are going to be there for Christmas. . I got to be in the park no matter how crowded & crazy. That's half the fun. We are fortunate that we are at WDW for 14 days so we are not going to miss out on anything if rides are busy. . we will just go with the flow . . a good day to walk and see the park and if we happen upon a ride we want to try, we will take the time. :santa: It helps that the DDs are 10 & 14 now so there is a little more patience and if things are busy we can use the down time to browse through the shops.

:santa: Will be there from Dec 1 to Dec 13 and will be ar MVMCP on Dec 3.
While we have been to both WDW and DL many times this will be the first Christmas trip:goodvibes

Oh...how fun everyone! I wasn't sure what time it would be dark there....so, glad I asked. We have never been, for the Christmas season before either. I bet it's beautiful!

Last Dec was our first trip too We spent a week in Awe.... It was so beautiful with the decorations. The Osborne lights, light up castle wow what a sight to see.

Enjoy the trip it will be great.

We're headed down for 10 days of fun in December... but no MVMCP this year. Too expensive when we know the kidlets will fall asleep :rotfl2:

I had forgotten that it will be dark earlier. On the weather, can anyone recall what the temperatures were like? Will it be warm enough in the days for shorts and the pool for the kids? And at night, we will need light jackets (windbreaker) spring like or heavier with a lining (like early fall)? Try to keep the packing to a minimum.

Thanks.

Last year was my first trip to WDW during the holidays and it was spectacular!!! I remember standing on NY Street in awe of all the lights!

Last year when we were there the weather was lovley much like a warm fall here in Canada. Our kids swam ( not me too much of a wimp ) we did do Blizzard Beach it was much like a cool summer day. When the sun goes down it is cool especial if there is wind. Hoodies or fall coats did just fine.

Hope that helps

PS at night the pool guards were in "winter coats" while supervising the pool as our group of 10 children happily played...... very funny looking.

Count us in for December! We will be there Dec. 13-16 - short, I know. But DSis and I are surprising our Dad with a quick trip for his 65th birthday. We aren't telling him until the day before we're leaving. We're booked at SSR but on the waitlist for AKV. Not sure if we're doing MVMCP yet or not. I have an
AP, so don't think I want to spend extra on another ticket. Just want to make sure Dad gets to see all the wonderful Christmas stuff like the tree lighting ceremony and Candlelight Processional at Epcot, the lighting of the castle and Christmas parade at MK, and of course the Osborne Spectacle of Lights at HS. We also booked a tea at the Grand Floridian so we can sit and enjoy the huge gingerbread house in the lobby.:santa:
