What can't you book at guest services when boarding?

I'm planning to board the ship (Dream, if that matters) as early as possible so I can go to guest services first to try to book some things we weren't able to online and then head straight to Cabanas.

I've read some conflicting things online. Some say you can book tastings with GS, others say you have to go to one of the bars. Some say you can book Palo or Remy with GS, others say you have to go directly to the restaurants. I also read in one place you can't book anything with GS until 1pm. Some of this may have come from old postings, I'm guessing. Anyway, thanks in advance!

It depends on the ship and on the route. Have you checked the most recent Personal Navigators for your ship? The only reliable information will be on your boarding day, when you check the Personal Navigator for your embarkation day

The "where" and "when" for all of this, as noted, can vary from cruise to cruise. You need to check the Navigator you get at check in to find out where/times for all these.

Ok, makes sense. I figured it would be the same across all sailings of the same ship, but I guess not. Thanks

I've been able to book tastings at GS even though the Navigator will list a separate location for booking those. I think they want to steer as many people away from GS at embarkation just because the lines can get long enough without the extra people trying to book things that can be booked elsewhere. The two times I've booked tastings at GS at embarkation, it's been because I had other things I needed to do at GS and decided to ask to do it while I was already there. I've also been able to book the ticketed meet and greets there, back before those were available to book online and also after they were available online but when I needed to change a date or time.

I've never heard of people booking Palo and Remy at GS.

I’ve never read a Dream navigator where Palo/Rémy bookings could be made anywhere but at a dining room - usually Enchanted Garden - or at the podium between both restaurants.

I was under the impression that those were the only locations on embarkation day. Though, in all honesty, other than brunch, shouldn’t be a problem to make them now, on line, for Palo and Remy. However, I do intend to make Palo reservations onboard for whichever night ends up being our night in AP. So I guess I could see needing to do that.
