We are going to Disney in August, and I just made a ressie for Raglan Road. I had an empty spot with my ADR's and there wasn't much left.... (after I had to make some adjustments with my touring plans!) We have 3 boys - 12, 7, and 7...

We loved it. It was one of our favorite meals. I had a soup (I think it was tomato, I just remember being sad when it was all gone) a shepherds pie and the bread pudding dessert. I've tried to make shepherds pie about a dozen times and I cant even get close. I can't remember what my husband had but I remember that we finished everything!

DD was even very happy because it was basic kid food but made with premium ingredients.

I love Raglan Road we usually go around 8pm to enjoy the music and dance in the main room.
For an appetizer I loved the Dalkey Duo
For entree I like the heavenly ham, beef stew and bangers and mash
For dessert they all look good but ive only tried the trifle and bread pudding and both are OMG AMAZING!
I love Raglan Road it has an atmosphere I love, and Im a huge fan of pub food. It's worth a whirl especially after 8pm for entertainment

Thanks! Our reservation is a bit early to hear the music or see the dancing, but I am looking forward to trying the food! If we like it, I can try for a later one next time.

I was surprised that I liked it. We were a party of 4 adults and we shared/tasted everyone's food and there wasn't anything I didn't like. The bread pudding is very good. They have a great bar here and I thought the musical entertainment was fun.

DH and I have eaten here several times, and we really enjoyed it. We've always had good servers and great food! The bread pudding is to die for, and the it's not bleedin' chowder is heavenly if you're a seafood person. If I recall, DH had the salmon and he thought it was great. I would not hesitate to go again! If you're there late enough, your kids will love the band and Irish dancer!

We loved the atmosphere but would pass on eating there again. Of course we have a Dubliner in the family so there standards were high lol. He described it as Americans trying to do Irish food lol.

It is a great place to go and hang a bit and have a pint or more;). One warning though-if they seat you close to the stage-ask to move-the speakers will blow you eardrums out!:scared1:

We stumbled across Ragland Road a few years ago & absolutely loved it. It was our arrival night & I hadn't made an ADR because we weren't sure what time we would actually get there. When we were seated immediately around 7:00 pm on a Saturday night, we had very low expectations. It ended up being one of our favorite meals ever at WDW!! The appetizers are delish! I think you can also get them as a CS meal at Cooke's of Dublin. We had no clue what we were ordering & allowed our server to guide us. She did a great job!! Give it a shot!!

I've been to Raglan Road in Kansas City once before at the Power and Light District and was only there for drinks. If Disney's is like KC's, the place is very dark. However, the live entertainment was very good and we had an enjoyable time. The cocktails were pretty good as well.

I'm thinking I might need to try this. I have ADRs for Wolfgang Puck Cafe but am flip flopping between the two...:confused3

I kind of wish we had a later ADR now so we could hear some of the entertainment :goodvibes Oh well, it will give us a reason to go back!

I was going to post the same question. We are going on our arrival night. We wanted to have a relaxing day at the pool then a nice dinner without the rush of the park. My question is what is everyone's favorite dish that is not seafood? I'm not too sure of the menu.

We going there on our first evening as well. I know I'm getting bleddin chowder, but would also like suggestions for my non seafood eating family. I'm also going during free dinning so I'm not sure if they steak will be on the menu, as I heard a few reports they removed the steak for free dinning.

I sure hope they don't remove the steak for free dining - that is what I was going to get (and I am a pretty picky eater.) Is there any way to find out if that is true???

I was thinking about the steak as well. That would be a bummer if they took it off for free dining. I can't see why they would, there is still lots availability for Sept.

RR is quite simply AWESOME! Of course I play that kind of music so I am baised. Shepard's Pie is quite good and a tall cold Smithwicks....ummm darn it now I need a beer.

Took my mom to RR for Mother's Day because the menu looked right up her alley.. and we weren't disappointed! We got the sausage appetizer (YUM), I got Kevin's Ham (delicious.. would definitely get it again), and my mom got the beef stew which she loved. If you're a bread pudding fan, you have to try it from RR! It's heavenly!

Do they have entertainment at lunch time or only dinner. What time does the music start? I think this time we only have time for lunch but maybe next time for dinner:) Thank you

There were some reports that the steak was not on the written menu during free dining. Many people reported they the steak was on the menu and no problems ordering during free dinning 2009. I'm definitely not cancel my adr , just was looking for suggestions in case this happens. It seems more reports that the menu is the same, here's 1 of the threads that talks about.http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2422618
