What can you tell me about Halloween

We haven't been to Universal for a few years now & are interested in going for the Halloween festivities. Can anyone tell me:

-how many days does horror nights run?
-how/when do you get admission tickets?
-what are the hours?
-how far in advance should we plan to reserve?
-any particulars we need to know regarding visiting at that time?

Any info you can provide would be gratefully appreciated!

It's almost all of October and parts of November. (mostly weekends right up until Halloween week.)

The tix are around 35-40 dollars.

Hours are from 7-1 or 2 a.m. depending on the night.

If there is a certain date you want, buy it as soon as tix are avail. Most dates tend to sell out.

Thanks for the info. I didn't see anything about it on the Universal site...do you know when do they post the dates/ticket sales? Do they typically offer any package deals at the onsite hotels?

All Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are guaranteed HHN dates. More days are added every week, and the last week usually has 6 nights.

Tickets are closer to $50, but there are numerous ways of getting discounts.

Hours are 7p-midnight. Fri & Sat are 7p-2a.

Fridays and Saturdays tend to sell out, especially the ones in the middle of the month. Sundays aren't as busy, and it's quiet during the week.

Dates are usually out by September and tickets are usually available by then as well.

I don't know of any deals the onsite hotels run. I will tell you that onsite hotel keys are NOT valid during HHN.

After perusing the IOA calendar on the Universal web site, it looks
like the current plan is for HHN to be 21 nights (all in October this
year) The dates that the park closes early are:

1, 2, 3
8, 9, 10
13, 14, 15, 16, 17
20, 21, 22, 23, 24
27, 28, 29, 30, 31

On the "peak" nights, closing is at 5:00, on "non-peak" it is at 5:30
(?). Apparently the 15th is a school holiday, because the 14th shows
as a peak night.

Of course none of this is set in tomb-stone.

Thanks for keeping me honest DM! I should have been more clear. I always have discounts on the brain! Keep an eye out for them. Closer in there are always many offers for discounts.
