We are thinking about booking for June....from the photos on line they look nice....never stayed in that location before. Any information and feedback would be helpful! Thanks!

Hi MarcyinPA!
As you can see, we've stayed in the cabins 3 times and loved them! They are wonderful for families.....a separate bedroom with a double bed and bunks.....a pull-down double bed in the living room.....a full size kitchen with appliances.....and, maid service to boot!! :D
After a long day at the parks Fort Wilderness is cool and quiet to come home to. There's lots to do there if you want to.....Trails End Buffet....a bar.....golf cart rentals for getting around the campgrounds....boat rentals.....campfire evenings...
The boat ride to the Magic Kingdom is magical at night and fun during the day!
We have many happy memories of our vacations with our kids there...when they were young!

Drake has it right. We have stayed here 3 times and love them. Not only are the cabins nice but there is so much to do at the campground. I would reccommend them to everyone.

The cabins are really great. We've stayed there several times. I think the cabins are as nice as any of the hotel rooms, and they are certainly bigger. The entire campground area is very pleasant and it is easy to fill a day or two with the activities that are available right in the campgrounds.

The downside is that it takes a little longer to get anywhere. Basically, there is an extra leg of transportation to get to any of the parks or other resorts (or to a store or restaurant) because you have to take a bus from your "loop" in the campground to the central area, and then catch another bus or boat. Not that big of a deal, though I'm sure it would frustrate the commando types. We would actually often drive from our cabin to the parks, which I think was quite a bit faster.

Fort Wilderness Cabins are the best place to stay. They offer a lot of room, however, are private from other guests. It is great to be able to pull up to your cabin & be "home" for the evening. The pool areas aren't anything spectacular but they are relaxing. The main pool has a game room for the kids and a snack bar, while the smaller pool near the cabins does not. You need to bring towels from the cabins to the pool areas. Trail's End Buffet probably has the best buffet breakfast on all of Disney property for the most reasonable price. Waiting for buses can be lengthy, so we always rent a car for convenience & usually drive, however, taking the boat to the Magic Kingdom is fun. There is a lot to do right in Fort Wilderness and sometimes we don't even leave FW for the entire day. Have stayed there at least 4 times & looking forward to going back. Although the cost is high, you can justify it by having meals in your room & save on eating out continually. Definitely gets a thumbs up - can't say enough positive things about it.
