What can you ask of the club level concierge?

I'm asking this dumb question here because I don't want to look like an idiot while there... I emailed them & got the form ready to go, but what are appropriate (and not) requests? In the movies, the concierge is always able to snag the best table at the hardest restaurant to get into.

I don't plan on asking for the world, but is it unreasonable to have them try to get us into BOG or CRT? Can we ask for lactaid or almond milk for our friend's intolerant toddler (either in their room, or available in the lounge?)

I've already booked the restaurants, and we're not doing any other "special requests".

I don't think the club level gets you to the front of the reservation line but it won't hurt to ask. Maybe they can snag a reservation upon a cancellation?

As rwdavis2 said, they don't have any extra pull over any one else when it comes to getting the tougher ADRs. But what they can do is check more often than you can for cancellations.

They can certainly check to see if their is availability at the restaurants you wish to dine at but they do not have any "pull" to get you a ressie if none are available.

As for the almond/soy milk email them and ask for it. They should respond to you and inquire as to how much you will need during your stay. You will need to ask them for it at check-in and they will give it to you to put in your fridge. This is what BC CL did for us for our almond milk request.

Also we requested Diet Ginger Ale and they had it ready for us at check-in.

Wow pirate:

As someone who has always though of ginger ale as diet anyway (at least it tastes like it is anyway :cool1:), I am :rotfl2: at the thought of diet ginger ale. :)

We usually stay POR with our family of 5. after last years trip they requested we see what we might be missing at other resorts. We are planning on staying in a Deluxe room club level at WL.
So in regard to the concierge question, I always get up or stay up late to make all of my ADRs. Since the concierge hours start at 8, should I still go ahead and make my own ADRs and fp+ at midnight, or trust that the concierge can do his best?
we don't usually make a bunch of ADRs, however my daughter wants to eat at CRT this time.

what do yall think?
thanks!

If the all the ADRs get taken between midnight and 8am then the concierge probably can't help you. As was said above, they have no special access.

I agree that they don't have any extra pull in regards to that. Just wondering other peoples experiences.

I would feel safer doing it myself I suppose.
thanks for the help

We booked our own reservations and on day 178 decided that we wanted to do Dine with the Imagineer and it was all booked. I emailed the concierge and three weeks later they got one for us. It was great to have them checking.

The best thing that the concierge did for us was when we were there. One of our DDs had braces and forgot her wax. Se was in pain and we could not find wax anywhere. We went to the concierge and within two hours we had the wax shipped to our room from a local pharmacy. It didn't even cost that much. It was such a blessing.

The IPO ADR component of CL is in my opinion obsolete when they deployed the on-line tool. You have real-time confirmation of your ADRs and avoid errors by the CL IPO which we experienced multiple times. As others mentioned, they can check to get an ADR by checking the system frequently. They were able to correct an ADR error they made prior to our arrival by frequently checking everyday.

Dietary request are common. We typically request arrival packages that we specified (at our expense) for our daughters when they were very young, a collection of fun Disney items. These were placed in our room within 1-2 hours after getting our room. We also asked if they could make it look like the Princesses invited them to CRT Breakfast and they made it work year after year.

I have a positve opinion about concierge IPO and ADRs. At the 180 mark just before 6 AM, I became unable to use the website to try to book anything. It wouldn't even let me open the dining part of Disney website! IPO came through with everything I wanted except Dining with Imagineer which apparently hadn't loaded the date range in the system yet. All the ressies they had done for meshowed in MDE at about 6:05 AM on day 180.

I experienced the same problem when I tried to add a dessert party a few days later. Everything worked great until just before 6 AM. I did get it later in the morning but thank IPO for getting the bulk of my ADRs and MVMCP and Marcelline to Main Street tour.

I definitely look forward to their help next year when I am traveling with 3 generations of family.

I wonder if the system gets overwhelmed at the booking hour?:scratchin

I have zero expectations, as the only contact was when I called them. No emails, phone calls, letters about WL pool closure. Sorry, this is not concierge level service if only some of the guests receive contact. Not like Disney gives a discount for the lack of service/effort provided.

If something is important to you, book it yourself. So far, concierge service has been non-existant for our upcoming trip!

...

This is a great use of the concierge.

We had a very early reservation at California Grill (5:00 p.m.). When we arrived at Disney, I realized we could not make this adr. We were staying at Beach Club club level and I asked them if they could get us a later time. They were not able to so I asked them to cancel the adr, which they did.

I have a question about special requests though since we do stay club level often. If you have a special request such as getting almond milk, does the guest pay or does the resort just provide it because it was requested since it is not something they normally supply. Just asking for future reference.

We are staying at CR Atrium CL in October. We submitted our preferred dining reservations to the concierge and they made all of them for us.

October is generally less busy, though, so YMMV.
